Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]

For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.

Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016).  There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.

I’m sure someones already said this but I often see Tumblr described as a hellsite. This is fundamentally incorrect.

Tumblr is the faesite. Everybody is super confused and lost, you keep running into random places. Somehow you end up stuck there forever after interacting a couple of times. The people are all strange, everybody simultaneously seems to be from the future and the past as if time is meaningless.

There are inexplicable and unspoken rules of etiquette. You can be banished for the most trivial of infractions. If you’re funny in the right way you will be lauded until the masses tire of you.

Asking for someone’s true name is typically seen as suspicious.

If your tumblr is deleted, you can’t recreate your dash. Even if you wrote down the names of every blog you followed, they might change before you reactivate. No way to get back to where you were, can’t step in the same river twice
