How To Design Your Cover: Making the If The Dress Fits Cover
New book coming out this October, and I’m so EXCITED. I love creating the covers of my books, and I have to admit, I had a lot of fun doing it for If the Dress Fits. And I’m really happy the book’s cover has gotten a lot of love too! Want to find out how I made the cover? Keep reading! (more…)
#romanceclass Journalist Lecture!
(Video by Chi Rodriguez!) How do we even begin to sort out our feelings? It’s been a few days since we had our #romanceclass lecture, where we invited journalists to come over and talk about their jobs, relationships (wink wink) and other things! (more…)

Stella Torres' Crushingly Close Preview!
Stella Torres’ first book, Save the Cake, was one of the first Filipino-written romance books I read. I loved it so much I read more, and look at me now. Haha! I’m thrilled to help Stella promote her new book, Crushingly Close (out on July 19!) which you can hear all about after the jump. (more…)

Set A Story in Hong Kong
Here’s a new idea. When I write, I always find myself relentlessly Googling things for my characters–quirks, usually depending on the job. But I wondered if it would be helpful if I wrote a Settings Primer to the different places I visited, just in case anyone wanted it. On Writing, And Other Scary Things
The other day, I did a blog branding workshop with the super awesome Arrianne Serafico. It was about finding your brand message and learning to articulate it to your blog. So you may notice the content of the blog will be shifting just slightly towards my work–that is, writing and the things I put…

LA Photo Diary
Is it still counted as a diary if it’s about six months late? It’s a completely different season now, and I still haven’t gotten around to sharing my US trip photos on the blog. Ah well. Better late than never! I’m sharing some of my favorite photos from our not so recent trip to the US for Christmas. Our family rode a bus up to LA to spend the New Year here. I will always remember seeing 2015’s…

Botanical Illustrations!
More experiments with watercolor, and I think it’s getting pretty good so far. I signed up for Anna Mason’s watercolor school since she did a half-off sale for a month, which is cool. It’s expiring tomorrow, and although it was worth it for me at half-price, it might be too much if I spent the full price monthly. (more…)
Cities Backlist Revival Tour: Thanks!
We’re doing this thing now where we do a little revival tour for books we previously released, just to bring the books back to life. Like zombies. I kid, of course. We are always trying to find new ways to generate interest in the books we write. It’s funny to think that this book is already ‘old enough’ to qualify. Cities was my first attempt ever to write an original, full novella. My writing…
