aqualitis: There was no secrets how they were lost in each other’s eyes, or how completely in love they were with one another. With their hands connected, standing in front of one another, her amber hues couldn’t find themselves to tear away from those beautiful hazel optics that held hers so strongly, and making her heart skip a huge beat. She had never actually felt this way before, so overwhelmed with happiness, a little giddy inside and anticipating what was about to follow. This ceremony, the very actions that they were about to take, how they were going to be bound with so many of those who are important to them as witnesses. > > But at that very moment, she couldn’t think of any other than the man standing in front of her. That she couldn’t stop smiling, if not her smile actually widened and softened as the priest marked that start with the question and her most beloved answered for them, one that she nodded in agreement, her thumb returning the tender graze over his hand as well. > > Read More >
Every tear spilled was every tear she caught. How though he knew it was far too much of an embarrassment that he couldn’t hold back his tears during the ceremony, no doubt one that had his brothers smiling as they glanced to one another. It was no secrets amongst those who grew up with the Zhang brothers that despite the youngest’s reputation as a steely and cold young man, he is firstly known as the resident crybaby, one he earned as he was the child that hid behind his big brothers when he was younger. And though it was something reassuring to see him grow up stronger and more independent than how he started out, most can’t help but wonder if he’s lost that young boy from way back and no doubt their smiles signify their relief to see a glimpse of their youngest brother unchanged, or rather they daresay, the bride in his hands helped that little boy to come out again.
The groom himself couldn’t help but chuckle softer at his flowing tears, especially when his bride softly had her fingers to wipe away the falling droplets. It had always been something she’s done, hasn’t she? Even far before she had hands to hold him with, far before they fell in love— and far before they both knew what the future had in store for them both, she had always been wiping his tears. It had been her who strengthen him when he needed it most and ever since she came into his life it was her that strengthen him even past beyond his previous strength and surely it wasn’t so surprising that his bride does it even till today, 2 years after they’ve met.
And at the cue of the priest standing before them and a nod of her own, she simply smiled through the tears that poured from her sunshine eyes, ones that reminded him of rain on a sunny day; a beautiful shower on a spring’s day. A sight that prompted him to lift his digits from her own, returning the favor as his usually callous fingers caress under her eyes, soaking her tears to his skin as his smile never left him and his heart just leaped in bounds of happiness. Leagues of joys welled up through him with every word he spoke. Like a reply t his every word she repeated in a similar fashion. How it was like a dream, painted in his vision. The literal dream come true came one step closer with every word she spoke.
How she vowed him the same if not more— her heart and soul, her love and her devotion. Things that he could only imagine to himself at one point in his life, believing he deserved nothing more than what he has been handed so to see this come to life; to hear her speak the word ‘husband’ after his name had his breath hitch in happiness and his finegrs align to her cheek softly, continuously grazing her under his eyes whilst she spoke. His chuckles escape every now and then as he nuzzled his face to her hand and his smile never lessen in sweetness.
It really was a different side of the informant. How it wasn’t the Hound of the Brethren that stood holding her at the end of that aisle. It wasn’t the feared member of the Brethren that was holding her cheek so softly— but for the first time it was him. It was just plainly Ethan Zhang that held her then. The Ethan Zhang that was hidden under the iron exterior, one he’d uncover only upon the presence of his loved ones so surely he’d flourish under the sight of the one he loves most of all.
“As I am yours… mon bel ange…” he whispered back, can’t help himself when she spoke her last line. “Always yours…” His tone gentle— steeped in affection as he pressed to her palm that was at his cheek and his brows furrowed for a moment before both his gaze and smile returned, facing hers. The tips of his fingers grazing at her temple, no doubt he can’t take his eyes off her radiance today; one that surely would rival any goddess of beauty, convincing him how his nickname for her surely is befitting. How could he not think so, especially when the emergence of the crystal like droplets came around them, marveling both the crowd and the groom. It was like suspended diamonds, floating about the whole space of the pier and even the eye-patched Zhang who guarded the end of the aisle couldn’t help smiling as he poked at one of the droplets and watched it float by. An occurence that surely the brothers and especially the youngest Zhang was familiar with. An occurrence he knew she’d do only when she was at her utmost joy and amongst the crystal droplets all he could do was chuckle at how it really fitted her.. her nickname, didn’t it?
With the marvel of the sights around him a small whisper of marvel, the priest cleared his throat before turning to the ring bearers that stood on each side of the altair with a smile. “May we have the rings presented.” One that noted the second eldest that it was his turn to perform his duties; one that had the man who was usually the one to jest and joke around to wipe the slight tear that seeped from the corner his eye with a clear of his throat— and with a few steps he took the small velvet box out of his pocket and mustered a smile despite his eyes being a little red from his slight tears. A small approach as he came with the open palm-sized box,a hand settled to his brother’s shoulder with a smile as the youngest broke his gaze from his bride momentarily at the pull of attention to the other.
"You’re taking too long, it makes my eyes water, man." a friendly jest as his older brother handed the silver band that used to sit on their mother’s finger into his hand and using that to pull the groom momentarily into his arm in a huge and a quick flick of his knuckle to graze the beautiful bride’s cheek and a small ruffle of her locks. How his smile soften seeing his two baby siblings, finally getting what they wanted. "You’ll two be happy.. I know it." his smile softened gently as he lightly jabbed his fist to his brother’s shoulders. "Knock em dead, Eth."
a notion that had the youngest pause before grinning in that boyish smile he rarely ever wore, nodding as he turned to his bride once more and gently, bringing the small ring to fit perfectly onto her fourth finger, sliding it in tenderly to a perfect fit, as though it was a symbolization not just for their matrimony but how it had always been her that was meant to succeeded the Hous of the Blue Moon; a true lady of the Zhangs.
A sight that had everyone sigh happily and the second eldest can’t help but chuckle as another tear escaped him (that he did try to hide by rubbing his eyes to his shoulder in a sniffle). Certainly for he, himself, seeing his two youngest siblings achieving their dreams together meant a lot more than most know. After all, without the blue phoenix entering their lives, not only would they have lost their youngest brother, he’d have never been lucky enough to meet his wife. To have a chance to be healed, to love again and find his own sanctuary. So as much as he knew there was nothing more he can do to repay them but to be happy, he no doubt felt like this was teh least these two deserved. After not only overcoming their challenges to be together, but also spreading so much happiness to those around them, surely.. this is the least they deserve.
A nod of confirmation from the priest as he turned to the brides side and gestured with a smile for the silver queen to proceed, allowing the phoenix to do the same. Just minutes away from the end of this ceremony. Just seconds away to having these two be husband and wife. And no doubt once that was over, with a clearing of his throat and the anticipation hitched in the small crowd’s hearts, amongst the glittering crystals that floated around them, things accentuented to a climax; the highlight of any wedding ceremony.
“And thus by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife.” The priest closed his book at hand, smiling at the sight of the two young ones in love. No doubt there couldn’t have been two people more in love than the one that stood before him that day. His smile stretched as the elderly male gestured to the groom in a knowing fashion, understanding that it was the final seal of the ceremony.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
“With—…. utmost..” he whispered softly as both his hands came to her cheeks now, holding her features as he leaned in and his smile soften. His hazel eyes narrowed softly amidst the tears that started to dry and lips grazed her soft blossom hued ones. Feeling his heart hitch just as the first time he met her lips with his, the first time he told her what it meant and how from then on it held a special meaning for the two of them;
That the kiss on the lips meant ‘I love you more than anyone else.’.
“…pleasure..” he chuckled faintly as his head tilted and lips met to hers softly, claiming in full to what was a monumental gesture, that now he no longer would be kissing his lover.. his fiancee.. or just his Guardian.. he, at that very moment was kissing the love of his life, the one he’d be till he draw his last breath, through thick and thin.
Right then and there.. he finally could kiss his wife and he.. as her husband.
The small crowd whooped and cheered as a strong applause came from the small group and smiles were present all around. That after 2 years of their relationship becoming stronger, both the informant and the phoenix growing together, overcoming hurdles and sharing many, countless sweet moments together the chapter of their affections came to a new page. That as many had hoped for they finally came together and a promised notion till the end of their days, they’d have a pleasure to see.
The fruits of labor for true love and those who have fought to fight it.
A sight even his brothers were mostly in tears and proud smiles to see and even a hidden guest or two, one unseen by the eyes of the guests but not blinded to all. One where the third brother of the Zhangs couldn’t help but glance with his good eye, noting two obscure figures at eyeing the ceremony at the side of the lighthouse and at the sight of their joined hands he simply smiled to himself, knowing full well who was it that came from the lands beyond to see them come together.
The occasion momentous enough even for their parents to come and witness; the sight of the start of a new Leader of the Brethren and the newly appointed Lady of the Zhangs come together in matrimony; the sight of their youngest finding his happy ending.
