i feel like this needs to be said: you literally can’t ask or expect anyone to drop everything for you and operate under your terms at all times. you can’t expect people to always be there for you and always choose you in any given ultimatum. sacrifice cannot be expected or asked for, it has to be freely given. and just because someone loves you, that doesn’t mean everything they do will be done with you in mind. if you have a problem with that, then you are the problem.

the amount of people in the tags saying this is ignorant and condescending towards mentally ill people is honestly astounding. as a mentally ill person, i recognize being mentally ill is not an excuse to be abusive; and yes, that’s exactly what this is. it’s abusive to expect other people to dedicate their lives to you.

ok but why is ‘potato’ always used negatively in phrases? ‘couch potato’ and ‘he looks like a potato’……… what the hell have potatoes ever done to you? potatos are the mvps of the food world, the backbone of many dishes. they never let u down. potatoes are the real winners here and we should feel honoured to be described as one

You know how in the late 90s disney decided to go in and completely change the Journey Into Imagination ride, the most iconic ride in EPCOT, a secondary park that desperately needed this unifying attraction as it struggled alongside the more famous parks surrounding it? Because they wanted to be more hip and current, and incorporate a vague tie-in with a live action movie franchise that had been a recent success?

And then they ended up ruining a perfect attraction and replacing it with something crass and mediocre? And they almost immediately regretted their decision, and spent even more money trying to fix their mistake and bring back the old ride, but at that point the damage had been done so they ended up with a weird expensive hybrid that nobody really liked? And they still awkwardly sell merchandise of the old ride because everyone still remembers it fondly, and universally acknowledges the revamp as a huge embarrassing mistake?
