Hey, so I’m only updating about this for posterity/in case I ever come back here for some goofy stuff but anyone who has followed me on Instagram or Twitter or tiktok knows that my husband, Rob, passed away in December after a long and brave cancer journey. We got married in October when he started home hospice and our wedding was subsequently featured in Vogue after it went viral on Tiktok and Insta. My longtime followers know that I started dating Rob back in 2014 and that my column, Accidental Virgin, was largely about me navigating our relationship (which was my first). Since I was on tumblr a ton back then, a lot of our early days were documented On Here.

Rob and I had nearly 9 years together. Our relationship wasn’t perfect, no relationship is, but we loved each other deeply and I’m grateful that we had the time together to travel the world, have adventures around NYC, and just loaf around the house cooking and watching The Sopranos. I miss him everyday and always will. Luckily we family planned in such a way that I can still have our kid when I’m ready.

Thanks for reading. You can follow my insta, twitter, or tiktok (sometimes) for my actual real life updates ♥️

I first followed Ashley @offbeatorbit a long, long, long time here on tumblr and then on Twitter, like I don’t even remember how long ago, because we have a mutual friend, and was immediately struck by her funny and warm writing style. This article about her recent wedding is beautiful and sad and I’m so in awe of and inspired by the immense love and community she and her friends and family have. You should take the time to read this. And if you’re so inclined, here is the donation link to help support her husband’s hospice care.

sir please, that’s my emotional support song I found in a fanmix zip file on LiveJournal in 2004, it still has the graphic art cover instead of the actual album cover attached to the metadata.

Lily Evans is from Cokeworth, a town in the English midlands, so you can bet she had a real strong working class accent. That, coupled with her refusing to give up muggle slang to assimilate, means that James (posh pureblood pillock that he is) finds Lily incomprehensible for the entire first year.
