I’ve drawn so many Tonies at this point that it just flowed out of me even tho I haven’t drawn him in months.

I mean, seriously. Did you just see him disarm - heh - The Winter freakin Soldier in a single gauntlet and a damn three piece suit? And the little smirk when he takes the gun apart?

I definitely headcanon that Winter would remember this moment with a grudging awe. And maybe some feelings in his pants.

Tony Stark is BAMF in and out of the armor.

I love this scene. Those moves were so slick! The WS has dropped agents by the bunch, and a three piece suit asigned as non combatant disarms him (and delays him about as much as a former Red Room graduate).

Very nice reminder that Tony know his guns, and is far from helpless out of armor

My favorite part of this bit?

Tony knows so very well that he isn’t a match in strength to this guy so instead of straight up hand to hand he goes after him like Nat, but he lacks her flexibility and combat prowess so he can’t confront him head on like her either.

So tony uses buckys own momentum against him, pivoting his arm in arcs back and forth to disperse any forward thrust Bucky could get to throw him immediately. He creates his own openings to get in buckys personal space by keeping his arm straight at the elbow to push it out of his way at the shoulder letting him past buckys deadly hands. Obviously this doesn’t last but its a really good snippet of tonys serious actual martial arts training (you can really see this in those gifs of rdj practicing wing chun with his trainer on the wooden standees)

Tony Stark in Iron Man (2020) #11

I know this is years past being relevant, but every now and then I think about Tony Stark again and wonder why the MCU was so intent on isolating him from the other Avengers to such a degree.

ok but the first time natasha and tony are sparring and tony throws a punch natasha doesn’t catch soon enough and he clocks her so hard her mouth is bloody

i am literally so on board with both of these omg. i feel like tony would be simultaneously excited/delighted and horrified and he’d keep waffling back and forth between being like OH MY GOD ARE YOU OKAY and HOLY SHIT I PUNCHED THE BLACK WIDOW IN THE FACE AND LIVED I AM TELLING LITERALLY EVERYONE THIS IS GOING ON MY RESUME 

and natasha is simultaneously exasperated/amused and PROUD AS ALL GET OUT because hell yeah that was a punch and secretly a tiny bit relieved because now she can relax slightly knowing tony can hold his own and she’d just be grinning all over the place with terrifying bloody teeth

i imagine thor clapping tony so hard on the back he almost breaks him because he’s so happy for tony and proud of him for his new skillz

Ok but Natasha rattling off to Bucky in Russian, “this motherfucker actually punched me,” & Bucky just looks at her, “get the fuck out, no he didn’t. Are you sure it wasn’t Steve,” says Bucky jokingly. 

“No, idiot, we were sparring.” 

“AND HE DECKED YOU? Well, shit… I owe Stark an apology. I’m sure he’s fucking happy.” “Oh yeah, I bet he’s told everyone by now,” says Natasha but she can’t help but grin as she holds an ice pack to her busted lip.

few things I love about this scene:

* Aunt May mouthing “WHAT THE FUCK” as she hides her face from Tony with her tastefully falling curls

* Tony winking up a storm as May’s peripheral vision is obscured by her own tastefully falling curls

* Peter being able to see both adults trying to be sneaky

it’s summer, send help
