350 Follower OU Tournament.

In case if anyone didn’t see the last post I made. The blog hit 350 followers this morning. Now in the past whenever the blog hit an important milestone I always liked to do something special but for this one I wanted to do something different. Since this is a “competitive” pokemon blog I figured why not have a tournament. I will list out all of the rules and then after that there will be a paragraph talking about the prizes. If you intend on playing in this tournament you must read the following:

  • It will be on this Friday (July 3rd)
  • The time the tournament will start is 7:00 pm Central Time
  • The tournament will be single elimination bracket play. 
  • The format will be Smogon OU singles. 
  • All people who intend on participating in this tournament must send me an ask stating your intent to participate, the name you are using on pokemon showdown for this tournament. 
  • The deadline to sign up for the tournament is 6:00 pm Central Time on July 3rd. 
  • If there is not at least 10 sign ups then I’m going to cancel the tournament and just do a giveaway with the same prizes as the tournament. 
  • You must be following me to enter the tournament. 
  • You will not be allowed to change teams or change anything about your team during the middle of the tournament.
  • This is not required when signing up but everyone will need to send me an import of the team they plan on using during this tournament before the sign up deadline. This is to ensure cheating does not happen by people changing there teams. 
  • Everyone intending on participating in this tournament will need to send me a PM  on pokemonshowdown by 6:45 pm Central Time or you will be eliminated from the tournament. You will be able to find me in the Chinese chat room on PokemonShowdown
  • The name I will be under is CPMovesets
  • You will be required to stay in the Chinese chat room on Showdown up until the point you are eliminated. This is to keep things running as smoothly as possible. 
  • I will make a post on here around 6:30 pm telling everyone who there first opponent is. 
  • For the first round it will be each persons responsibility to find there opponent in the Chinese room and challenge them. 
  • After you complete your first game the winner will be required to PM me on PokemonShowdown telling me they won. If you are the one who PMs me you must not exit the battle, because I will need to go into the battle and view the results to ensure no cheating occurs by people telling me that they won even though they diden’t. 
  • After the entire first round is finished I will then make another post on Tumblr stating who your opponent will be for round 2. 
  • The winner will then PM me without exiting the battle to tell me that they have won. 
  • We will then repeat the cycle over and over until we get down to the semi finals. 
  • The Semi Finals will obviously consist of 4 people. Once both games have finished and the two victors have PMd me I will tell them to wait until I PM them again to tell them to start the Final Round. The Two losers in the Semis will then battle to see who gets third place. After the third place winner is decided I will then PM the two players that are still playing and have them battle for the winner. 

Now to the part that everyone actually cares about and that is the prizes for winning. The first place winner will be allowed to choose from any of my RMTs and get a full in game Competitive team of that RMT.  The Second and Third place winners will recieve a free shiny pokemon from any that I have. If you don’t have A 3ds or Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and you are one of the three winners then we can discuss an alternative prize after you win. 

Guys at this rate I may just have to cancel the tournament. I only have one entry.
