ALL RIGHT I’LL TRY!Note: This is how I personally work with folders, i’m not right neither wrong, different artists have different ways to do the same thing. Remeber to check for more than one as refference!
The shame is HEAVILY influenced by the wind or movement on the character/object, so are the folds that follow the flow of whatever is influencing them!
Always consider the fabric you’re planning to use, a heavy one won’t have as many folds, but will have more bumps, meanwhile thin ones tend to have A LOT of folds and not so many bumps, and often fold over themselfs
If you don’t plan how the object/dynamic/wind whatever will influence the fabric, you may come up with this:
The tip of the arrows will have LESS folds because it’s where the wind is blowing, meanwhile the back of the arrows will have a lot of folds, since it’ll curl and bump on itself!
You can’t just toss folders around without planning how they will be affected, works very similar as hair does!

i took the burden of coming up with the starting image, i chose the theme Snow Ruby (like snow miku only ruby) we started before christmas so it explains the accidental christmas theme oops, (please right click idk what tumblr did but the quality died on some of them)
i made a lil story out of it:
Ruby purchases dolls of her teammates and plays with it before wrapping them up to give as a gift and weiss doll is having NONE of it and went rogue and probably breaks out blake doll and yang doll too and ruby is now telling weiss the story of how she acquired the dolls, weiss somehow not believing her tale and complains why is it her doll that went rogue and in the last scene u see the dolls showing signs of sentience. Also they changed outfits a lot, ruby likes to play dress up with the dolls
anway this was super fun and thank you everyone who joined!!
So I really wanted to have a comic finished today, but I have one in the making that I’m really liking and didn’t wanna rush it, or separate it into parts. So have this Stardust Ruby Rose thing till I get back from vacation, and can upload a cute team STRQ comic!
Sidenote: Anyone think “Dust” in RWBY could be Star Dust? Idk what that would mean, but it sounds cute~!
