new blog.

helloooo! posy can now be found over at @sunshinemade. things are still a little under con over on the rebooted posy, but this blog is now an archive. the new blog is slightly different, so don’t go over and expect everything to be the same. default verse has changed, default age, blah blah. relationships are being carried over though so it’s not all starting from scratch. however, i’m starting afresh with most threads besides a few more plotted out things which should be replied to within the next week. hope to see a few familiar faces over there! thank you all for a lovely time here too! it’s time for a new chapter with posy. xoxo

He’s already spied the pink dress, peeking out from where it’s apparently been carelessly thrown under her bed, and he’d bet a whole month of earnings that it’s the only place she DIDN’T look. He walks over and takes a seat on the mattress, pausing for a moment with a fond SMILE on his face before reaching down to pull the dress from its hiding place. “Y’mean this pink dress, right?”

❛  ah  --  ! you FOUND it!    gaze excited in nature, the daughter springs up from her spot on the floor amidst all the mess she created throughout the day. CHAOS, really. total mayhem of clothes and toys and sheets and laundry. there’s a light to be found in the way she looks to her father, eager hands reaching to grab the garment. it’s such a simple thing, but enough to make her day.    i’m gonna wear it at school tomorrow!

He watches her fingers play with the material before them. Their lives, once threadbare, now so full of material things he felt as if he were drowning in it. He wonders if she too misses the simplicity of before. Yet the only thing he can be thankful for is that she can now have everything she wants. That Rory, Vic, their mother could eat & not go cold & perhaps worry about mundane things rather than wondering how to survive. Maybe, just maybe it was almost worth it — his peace of mind for his family’s was a price he had been willing to pay, had tried to pay before the games ( he can still feel the walls of the mine closing around him, the dust catching in his lungs — not the only thing that kept him gasping for air, choking him. It had been worth it, seeing her waiting at the door for him. ) His hands gently cover hers, stilling them in the action that she was using as an excuse, almost a nervous tick she wasn’t aware of ( but he was, he’d watched her grow after all — too fast. )

It’s as if he’s been doused with ice water — he’s awake now. He wonders if the something she had heard had been him. ( The cruel irony is not lost on him — how the boy who would stay up so that his baby sister could sleep in peace could now be the very cause of her lack of it. ) He pulls back the covers in unspoken invitation, seeing the sleep in the corners of her eyes, though she too tries to push it away like he does. ❛ There’s nothing here.  Just me. ❜ What once was an assurance — there are no monsters here Pose, just me is now warpedIt was probably just me.

there’s a PAIN that can’t be explained as she looks to her eldest brother, gaze dropping some where he holds her hands. always longing for affection and comfort, especially in the quiet darkness that surrounds the siblings. the rest of the house is silent, sleeping soundly. they’re safe in their new home, well-fed and well-clothed, and warm. there’s no worry of needing to bundle up before bed, or whine because they’re hungry. he’s secured them a life of luxury in comparison to how things used to be, but at what price? posy hates to see him SUFFERING, immeasurable in her eyes, and she’d much rather things go back to how they used to be if it meant he could be happy.

that’s all she wants. for her brother to be rid of pain. though her young mind has often spiralled her nights down the path of terror when not gifted with dreams, his cries out into the darkness are the WORST. the sounds never fail to send chills down her spine, never fail to stir her out of bed, never fail to have her rushing to check in on him. posy’s been without him for so long, misses him dearly each time he disappears away, and even now, with his reassurances, she doesn’t feel any better as she climbs into his bed and burrows against the warmth of his body.  ❛  you PROMISE?

You come home from school on a Friday afternoon to find your muse sitting on your bed! You have the whole weekend with them, and $1000 to spend - where will you take them and what will you do together?

this is so fun! gosh okay there’s a great pancake/waffle/ice cream place in town here and posy would love love love it. so i’d definitely treat her to that. hmm, there’s lots of beautiful gardens around where i live which posy would adore. idk, toy stores! go see a movie! head to the beach maybe! we’d totally build a fort at the end of the day too and pig out on bags of sweets. posy doesn’t need much to be happy, so i think that’d be a pretty good plan!
