CRY ME A RIVER

💧every now and then i make myself cry at just how much i put you before myself.

💧we don't have to talk about it.

💧i don't have to pay rent,

💧i don't have to buy food,

💧and it isn't fair.

💧everyone i care about is struggling to survive, but not me!

💧not me.

💧i always ask myself why; chest a bulging floodgate, and i realize every time that i have arrived at the same answer:

☔ capitalism

🙂 if you have to earn the privilege to see a doctor, to have a roof overhead,

💧the only way i can pretend to stay sane

🌊 is by telling myself that shrinking so so small is how i earn it

within each passing day i am sat in awe when i unearth knowledge of the turning undergone by unseen gears. when i hold you in my memory you are unchanging and sturdy. but try telling that to this pool of broken glass
