Folks thought I was storm prepping when in fact I was shopping for my son's Cross Country meet. Those are post run snacks for about 125 hungry runners. Bode ran well and placed 4th in the meet. He was pleased with his time and that's awesome. On a side note my macros sucked. I didn't eat enough calories today due to excessive responsibilities and my protein was extremely low. Looks great for keto, but my goal is lean muscle. So that is today. Now on to put the chickens to bed and feed the cat (who is currently screaming at me).

Spent a day with the family at Ohiopyle State Park. Ran a zipline/ropes course and then rented bikes to ride along the trail. Didn't wod today but will be back at it tomorrow. Food from the Ohiopyle House Cafe was good as always, I ate my macros loosely and also enjoyed a small ice cream. Currently enyoing a cocktail on the deck with Rob and the dogs. Gotta love a long Holiday Weekend!

Labor day WoD in the books. Had a fun morning:

1st WoD was a 15 min AMRAP partner 2nd WoD was 9 rounds for time.

Macros are holding strong however I have yet to attend the obligatory end of summer family cookout. I just ate 2.5 oz chicken breast and 1oz sweet potato chips to hold me over.

Spent a day with the family at Ohiopyle State Park. Ran a zipline/ropes course and then rented bikes to ride along the trail. Didn't wod today but will be back at it tomorrow. Food from the Ohiopyle House Cafe was good as always, I ate my macros loosely and also enjoyed a small ice cream. Currently enyoing a cocktail on the deck with Rob and the dogs. Gotta love a long Holiday Weekend!

Trying to get a selfie with a Mountain Dog Pup is a lesson in futility. The run times posted are from 3 years ago. Right before I got really sick and had to be treated for Lyme and Babesiosis. It has been a long, hard fight to get back to being me. My weight is up 20+ lbs and my "running" (jogging) is slow and painful. Where I was hitting times on 2 & 3 miles from 9:30 to 11:30/mile, I am now barely able to jog a mile at a 13:00/mile pace. It can be discouraging, but I am being diligent with joint mobility, chiropractic and deep tissue massage. I would use more acupuncture but it's hard to treat myself. So fast forward to now. I have a Half Mudder to run in just over a week. *sigh* I am just hoping not to let my team down. As for my macros and weight I couldn't be happier. I am moving in the right direction, and although I am not seeing a reduction in my pain I am seeing a reduction in body fat and an increase in muscle. A win/win!

Tried to find some interesting pics on my phone. Acupuncture and cupping, it's what I do. A random stack of books at my office and a seared ahi tuna with roasted asparagus that I made for dinner. I've been adding more ahi and shrimp to my dinners to help me hit my 45% protein macro. So far I've lost 1.7% body fat and gained 1% muscle. It's slow but it's an improvement. Today's WoD was a brutal, long partner chipper. We finished in just over 35 minutes RX. I love Ghd's and Double Unders, the KBS killed.

First things first: Bode always crushes me in time to finish an AMRAP and today was no exception. What happened today for the first time EVER was he beat my time while lifting heavier weight. The WOD had 10 front squats, 10 C2B pullups and 50 dubs. My front squat weight was 75# his 85#. My time, 9:16 his 8:42. Also I know it's boring but my macros were dead on today. I will try to take more interesting pictures tomorrow.

Bored Bernese at the box, and although I exceeded my Calorie goal by just over 100, my macros are coming together pretty well. My kids start school in 3 days, not looking forward to the earlier start to my day, so trying to get to bed a touch earlier as well.

**My day in pictures** Started off with "protein bites" and a killer WOD. The little ripped dude behind me in the top left corner is my son Bode. He is a machine, and finished the WOD a full 11 minutes ahead of me and finished 4:19 ahead of one of our top trainers. Attended a baby shower and didn't have a second thought about eating cookies or cupcakes. Didn't have any; didn't want any. But I always do calculate my macros to allow me weekend vodka drinks. Why you ask? Balance I answer! I have decided to include various foods or libations to fulfill my "sanity macro". I am not now, nor ever do I aspire to become, an elite athlete. I am a 50 year old wife, mother, acupuncturist and business owner. My goal is not the CrossFit Games, my goal is a healthy, robust, healthy life.

It's Been a Ducky Day! My friend Tom's pet ducks and a Dooney & Bourke bag my mom decided she no longer could carry (it's too heavy for her). I need to find a soft, light leather bag for her as trade. Lots of other stuff today including a 27:13 WoD from Hell and an afternoon spent with the horses.

Chicken....and chicken. Blah! I may or may not choose to explain the actual live baby chicken that is now inhabiting our bathroom. For lunch we also had chicken. We almost always and for as long as I can remember come home from CrossFit and eat eggs, fresh from our girls. Mixed with veggies, bacon and cheese our eggs are the bomb. No eggs today. 27 slacker assed chickens and only 1 egg in the fridge. So we had to improvise with chicken breast sautéed in butter served with a fresh made tomato cream pesto sauce. I freaking rock at improv cooking. I have actually thought about sharing my improve ninja cooking on Periscope. Kinda like; what your mom didn't teach you was possible in the kitchen (when you aren't bent over the freaking sink)

Today's egg scramble. I always eat pretty much the same breakfast. Such is life with chickens. Been taking my new supplements for just under a week. I think I am starting to notice a shift in my energy. Good effing riddance Mars in Retrograde!!!! My furnace at work has returned to normal, my laptop is working again, the dogs haven't destroyed the house lately and I didn't die at CrossFit this morning. Life is looking up. Now it's time to boost those earnings.
