Got told to call in sick today. I should have seen it coming with so much work and so little rest.
Take care of yourselves people! Self-care is so important. Sleep early, drink water, eat well, don’t stress, stay active, be grateful.
Just a little PSA from a sick teacher who would much rather be teaching these goobers than lying in bed 💕😷💕
2015, you were grand. #2016, I like you already 😎🎉✌🏽️
I could be a cat person for you 💕🦁 #griffindor #reYAASS

Do you find that teachers generally enjoy their jobs? I'm an aspiring middle school teacher but I feel like any time I read something written by a teacher they just say how stressful and hard it is and how crazy their kids make them.
I enjoy my job. It is also stressful, hard, and will sometimes make you crazy.

Random Thoughts
When I started in Music Education, I had grand dreams of taking ensembles out traveling and touring. 3 years in, and the more I involve myself, the more I realize how much need there is for me right here at home... Surprisingly, I am okay with that. (Not giving up the goal of touring and traveling and gold plaques though.)
When I'm not teaching students, I'm training raptors. 💁🏻🐲

Let’s see if I can keep track of life on here again.
Music education has done so much for you, what have you done for it? I mean at least send it a card or something.

Highly Effective Teacher #007
The highly effective teacher’s room always smells pleasant. The aroma of differentiation, engagement, formative assessments, and honeysuckle permeates the air.
The developing teacher’s room smells of desperation, limited student engagement, and cloves.
