Hi, I saw you at PMX as great lord Lucina with a grandmaster Robin, I was also dressed as Lucina (just her Normal outfit) but I was too shy to ask for a picture and I didn't know about the gathering >-

Ahhh don’t be shy! :D I love other FE cosplayers (especially Lucinas >o

But onto your question! I made her belts out of pleather! I sewed two pieces of pleather inside out, turned them right side out, then sewed them again along the edges so they lie flat. :D The buckles I made from a large, wooden curtain hanger/hole/thing, then I added apoxie around it to make it larger. I also used a dremel to sand the inside of the circle and the apoxied outside to make it look sharper.

As for her shoulder guards...I actually made them out of syntra, which I HIGHLY do not recommend. LOL. If I were to do it again, I would make them out of EVA foam. The key to getting them not to slip off though is that I have a piece of fabric glued to the top of the shoulder guard. I pin it to my tunic so it keeps my pauldrons up. I can take photos to show you what I mean if you’d like! :D

Was making the falchion hard? (Im asking because im planning to cosplay lucina/"marth" for sacanime)

I’m soooo sorry for the late reply, tumblr doesn’t like to notify me when I get messages. Dx

My falchion was a bit of a pain to make, because I made it mostly out of wood. xD I took a wide piece of wood and sawed off pieces until the blade and hilt were approximately the correct width. I used a wide piece to account for the guard and the hole in the guard. @_@ After that it was....a lot of sanding....to sharpen the blade. A lot. It was a pain and took forever LOL. At least I had an orbital sander.

I used a weird mix of craft foam, worbla, apoxie, and styrene to make the guard and pommel because I had no idea what I was doing and just kinda tried everything. XD I think if I were to do it again I’d use craft foam and either coat it with resin or worbla. Apoxie is a little fragile, pieces have broken off before. :(

There are definitely easier ways to make it though! I’m just a dummy and like wooden weapons. LOL.

hello!! your jiji cosplay is beautiful!! i also want to cosplay jiji and i wanted to ask where you bought the blue fabric, i've been looking everywhere and they're so expensive or just nonexistent :O !

Hi! I’m so sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been on tumblr at all ;o; I unfortunately got the fabric in Taiwan! My friend says she’s seen it online and in LA’s fabric district, but I myself have not. T_T I wish you the best! Good luck!

Hi! Your Lucina cosplay looks awesome! What fabric did you use for the dress?

Thanks anon! :D For my tunic I used a dark navy suiting and lined it in a cheapish satin. ^o^ I uh, actually used stretch satin for the lining which I do noooot recommend. X_x Use not stretchy material for both body and lining, it makes things 5x easier. LOL.....
