[ ooc - A lot of things going on irl. So I won’t be active for most of my threads on any blog. But I will do small interactions, esp on Thana, to try to keep my inspiration.]

What is your opinion of Athena? What is your opinion of her desire to protect the humans?

"My opinion of a goddess who is my lord's sworn enemy?" Thanatos inquired with an amused chuckle. "She is a formidable foe who earned her legend. It is a pity that she chose to defile herself by walking alongside humanity, even allowing herself to become too human in a sense."

"I think her desire has blinded her to the fact that she has betrayed her own godhood and fellow gods. Does she really think humans won't turn against her one day, when there are no other gods to battle? Or perhaps that is her intent...to eliminate us in order to be the sole goddess that rules over humans."

Not that Thanatos believed the latter. He doubted the goddess would turn against her precious mortals like that. Yet, it was fun to consider the idea when one was bored.

Does Thanatos have a grudge on the Pegasus saint for killing Minthe?

"What makes you think I wouldn't? I am not known as a benevolent god, after all." Thanatos idly checked the stings of his lyre, careful not to disturb the butterfly that had taken perch upon the lyre's carved dragon head. His dear friend didn't deserve to be murdered by a mortal.

[Mind you, a lot of my blog's headcanons were inspired by the Hypermyth. One of the details (if I recall correctly) was that the final battle of the first war took place in Elysium.

Two and two together, Minthe's death occurred because she went against Thanatos' wishes for her to flee with the other nymphs and got hit by one of the Pegasus saint's attacks by accident. Thanatos only knows it was the saint's attack that killed her, but he doesn't know if the attack was a fluke stray or deflected by him (or Hypnos, or Hades) which changed the path of the attack.

Regardless, Minthe's death (as well as the Pegasus saint harming Hades) cemented Thanatos' rage against all Pegasus saints.]

Does Minthe have a faceclaim?

[Hello! I'm assuming you're talking about Minthe the nymph that I've mentioned in tags?

She didn't have a fc when I was more active on this blog, mainly bc her spirit became Thanatos' butterfly (another hc) after she was killed by the Pegasus saint in the first holy war.

This is the closest fc I could pick for Minthe the nymph that captures my mental image for her. Her eye color is def mint-green.]

Good. — The blonde nodded without missing the simple smile. — So you’re not a lost cause. — Despite the good conversation, Hypnos can’t help but tease his brother a little. — Good luck to Zeus, I once heard he doesn’t like to face Gods like you, I even heard he’s scared of Nyx. Mother made our existence perfect, as it should be. I always have something to learn from you, as incredible as it sounds. — Another provocation. — And by the way, that I’d like to offer one advice, one no, two. I can create a good dream for you to spend years to have some peace, however much death is necessary, even though you’re rude to me even sometimes without realizing it, I care about you.

…And another piece of advice is, you should be more patient with humans.

Death remained silent. For once, he carefully considered what to say.

“There is such a dream that would bring me peace but I will never ask for it.” Thanatos thought of Minthe, one of his dear nymphs who perished long ago. Sometimes he did dream of her, only to wake with an urge to destroy once he realized she was still lost to him. “No offense to you, brother, but reality is too cruel to return to after such dreams.”

“Few humans deserve the patience of gods. I’m afraid I will never understand why you give them so many chances they are undeserving of.”
