When we hurt, when we're at our worst, Sigyn is there to catch the poison that drips into our eyes. She would wipe the sweat from our brow and give us nourishment so that we have the strength to continue.

The Sigyn Appreciation Week

Day 1 - What do you associate Sigyn with, what reminds you of her?

I associate Sigyn with a lot a things related to nature, fox, dragonflies, wildflowers, and specifically I think of the autumn season. Also the color yellow and other warm colors and also gold and gold jewelry.

Sometimes the snake rests. That means rest for the two of them as well. She tells him of sunshine and blue skies.

Sigyn taught me a lot about how to live when the darkness that surrounds you seems eternal, like it must have seemed for her during the torment in the cave.

But she eventually gets to see the sun again. She gets to live again.

There's always going to be a piece of her that's in the cave, or that's stuck in the moment when her boys were murdered. There's always going to be parts of me that I've lost to despair and depression.

But we both keep living. We see the sun again, eventually.

if you’re struggling lately, i hope this reaches you.

we will be okay. you will be okay. you will grow and evolve and heal. you will enjoy life again even if it’s not the same as it was the last time you were happy. you will live your life not feeling stuck. you will do more than survive. you will thrive.
