This whole ‘real fan’ ‘true fan’ ‘really a part of the fam’ shouldn’t be used as a manipulative scape goat to make people feel guilty for disagreeing with an artist actions or to make any fan feel inferior to another or less deserving of anything. You are no more of a ‘real’ or 'true’ fan than any other fan based on your knowledge of any band member, how many concerts you’ve attended or how many songs/lyrics you know. STOP THIS 'true fan’ CONCEPT. If you’re a fan you’re a fan. No fan is superior over another based on any factor.

I have unstanned but I do log on every now and then to talk to people. someone always has something negative to say but that's life. I'm happy to discuss it with people trying to gain understanding but there are so many vicious messages I don't even bother responding to.

You've already said neither Luke nor Arzaylea deserve to get hate thrown at them and you've been very respectful with your reasons for leaving (the same as mine). You can enjoy music without supporting the person who makes it (: for example I love some of Chris browns music, however I can never support him as a person and I don't agree with his actions.
