-- Ygritte stood her ground, crouched and arrow aimed at Jon Snow's heart. Her eyes were filled were tears as her heart was filled with a sort of sadness. However, at the same time, she knew she wouldn't be able to let go. There was no way that she'd allow herself to let that arrow fly just a few feet away and end the life of the only man she had ever truly loved.
Had he betrayed her? Yes.
However, as many times as she'd tried to deny it, there was no changing the way she felt about him. It simply could not be done. Oh, how she wanted to be able to kill him. It'd be so simple. So quick. Everything would no longer be confusing. He'd be dead and she could carry on fighting for that of which she had been trying to, to begin with. She could continue with being apart of Mance's army and she'd no longer have to worry about putting an end to the man who had broken her heart so badly.
Here she was, given the perfect opportunity, yet she could not do it. Why couldn't she do it? She wanted to lower her bow, but at the same time, although she could not kill him, she also was too headstrong to just give in. In this moment, she honestly had no clue what to do. Screams rang through the air and men were being slaughtered left and right, yet here she was, arrow aimed, eyes fixed on Jon Snow.
The bloody crow was smiling at her of all things.
She finally spoke up, her words were only just above a whisper but her voice unwavering.
