I'm really sorry to hear about your cat. I know how hard it is to loose a loved pet... It seems like he had a long and happy life though and that's what matters the most.
Thank you so much for your kind words (and I'm sorry for the late response) it really sucks but I know he lived out his last years in comfort and happiness with us and I'm glad we got to be there and he could be comfortable and surrounded by his family when he went

sorry for the late reply but thank you so much, I'm ok now I know we made the right decision but it still feels weird not having him around and it breaks my heart when I think about it! he had a good long life though

I really don't think my cat has long left now I just can't stop sobbing every time I think about him or am with him I'm not taking this well at all
we adopted the cat by mistake/letting him in the front door six years ago and we've just found out he's actually 17 so I know he's so old and it's his time but I'm heartbroken it's just a case of saying goodbye every day because we don't know when it'll be but the vet thinks it'll be soon
so the vet has confirmed that my cat is dying
