hey @strickenveteran I don't know how else to get ahold of you since you don't take DMs and I can't remember your last name, I'm only in touch with Jason from back in the day and just have a few distant others from outside of that main group on FB. That photo I took of you in your cosplay when we all went on that absolutely insane trip south....I wound up using for a posturized painting project when I returned to school this year And I keep meaning to get ahold of you and offer you a copy/etc. Hope you're doing well dude! You were always a blast to hang out with 1:1

Kind of sad ToA is letting pedo hiding gnome guild keep their booth after screenshots were released of them admitting they removed pedo gnome only to keep their booth.

hey, Dravvie here, Coordinator for Tournament of Ages Sorry if this is rambly, I pulled an all nighter for part 1 of a final the week before ToA: The truth is that the Gnomes weren't strong armed and the removal started prior to the booth being the issue. The GNOMES came to the Booth Coordinator, not the other way saying that our primary contact A.D.I.O.S. was serious about their reputation and keeping things safe for others, (which I do believe as I have run across them many times including in guilds prior to their time in PoG.) and that they were doing their best to remove him and were removing him from the gnome councils too. We found out from THEM about the pedo, and them trying to fix things, and their reputation. We didn't pressure them because according to those contacting us, they cared desperately about trying to fix it for the long term. The Booth Coordinator was ALSO THEN messaged BY Tintsy Brightslate after they shared their "formal" statement to Moon Guard groups, attempting to clear their name and keep their booth. This action was taken by Tintsy first to the Coordination team and not the other way around. I can say looking at the logs from many people that they removed him because they were disgusted. They're going through a lot of grief. Humans are complicated. We were very surprised to hear it was about a booth supposedly later on. They then rescinded their private officer statement later in the day once it leaked, saying they were in an emotional spiral in private, which I think is the truth and was the actions of one officer. We'll keep an eye on it too for further developments and we're more than happy to look at any other evidence. ---- On a personal level, not as a coordinator, as I cannot speak for all 9 of us, I do understand some of the human grieving process by some of the officers in the leaked chat logs where they went through just about every fucking stage of grief ever. Please do not think this is me making excuses for them covering for someone. If you google around, you can understand how I can sympathize a bit, as I def ran into the worst of the worst with this with someone. I can understand how they fell into blaming us because they were excited to do something with their friend who is now...not a good person. I think they're adapting to the idea that this person is bad who was good at one point in time in their brains. It's easier to be mad at ToA regarding a booth and say they had to remove him over a booth than to be mad at him right now. I can understand, unfortunately: loss of community reputation for an action of a guild leader, worry that you'll lose something that matters to you by A.D.I.O.S. who runs the booth, even though it was the guild leader who fucked up. I do sympathize. But I am disappointed personally in one of the officers who tried to frame it as one of us strong armed them, when they were taking the correct actions as a community. Again these are my personal feelings, and I do sympathize as pedos are deeply emotionally conflicting to confront in communities, families, and friends. it's happened a few times in the greater wow community, and it's really haunting to have to basically emotionally throw a friendship into a blackhole, and worry about your reputation that was once tied to someone. It's a grieving process if it turns out someone you're close to is a monster who would harm others and you wind up questioning every interaction you had with them. --- BUT all that said: If it turns out that there's more to be learned re: PoG, we can review it! Seriously, if there's more, or more about any guild, please bring it to us! My door is always open regarding anything. But for now there's no reason to take away from a guild or community that is already grieving by making them outcasts from ToA, and I hope people consider that they're victims of their guild leader too. Anyways have a good day!
