Jeremyville 'Live Free Range Instead'. A three colour Risograph print. Nice use of the teal's halftones for shadowing. (P.S. Our pressure roller is on it's way, so a working press is soon on hand)

Here's a great use of gradient tests that Hato Press used to show the potentials in colour combination on their Risograph. Here the pages have been used to decorate their local stationers' windows during a cold winter. This was done as part of a great little event called Happen Projects. A great re-use of a tool that is very useful in itself for showing off the Risograph's potential.

As research for a possible future publication, I have started mapping artists, publishers and studios using Risograph duplicators in a creative context.

There are quite a few people using these things all around the world now and it would be great to start networking with one another, sharing tips & secrets about these peculiar printing devices. Knowing where everyone is seemed like the first step towards that. In this spirit, it is my pleasure present to you:

The Atlas is set up as a wiki, meaning anyone can add a point to the map or edit a previous listing. If you don’t see something that should be listed, please add it. Let’s map this growing community!

Another Victory Press print (two colour) by Paul Layzell. I love the use of the halftones and strong blacks. Reminds me of Half Man Half Biscuit's early artworks... Can't be bad!
