“I don’t know why you’d count on such a thing…”
“Please. it’s okay. No need to deny it.”
“I don’t know why you’d count on such a thing…”
“Please. it’s okay. No need to deny it.”
“I really don’t see how…”
“All I’m saying is a few drama-free weeks must have good for everyone. Refreshing even. Though not particularly good for ratings I suppose...”
Yes, I think I’m still the new guy for now. You can call me Kevin, though. I’d prefer it.
Welcome to Poise Kevin. So what exactly do you do here?
“That’s great. I’m glad you had fun. Are you glad to be back or missing it?”
“To be honest? A bit of both.”
Spare me the disgusting details.
Don’t worry. I will. So you new around here? I don’t remember seeing you before I left on assignment.
“More than I want to admit.” She laughed softly, giving him a hug in greeting.
“Me too gorgeous. Me too.”
“Unfortunately what happened was predominantly boring, so, not particularly drama.”
“Well, I suppose good for everyone else that nothing happened.”
“I’m certain you did, Mr. Sterling.”
“And you missed me, I’m sure.”
Have you had Braunstein’s E:4?
I like my whiskey the way I enjoy most other things in life: cheap.
A little goes a long way with that particular whiskey, but I’m no expert. My dad always has it sitting around in his study at home. You’d think he’d notice when it would go empty, but the old man’s got so much money he didn’t even care.
This is the best whiskey I’ve ever had.
Have you had Braunstein’s E:4?
“I would love to say that there’s a whole lot you’ve missed, but, you probably wouldn’t want to know about the things that actually happened while you were away anyway.”
“We wouldn’t be us without a little drama.”
“You have to play by the odds. And around here, when you haven’t seen anyone for quite as long, it generally means they’re never going to return.”
“Oh I missed you gorgeous.”
“I guess it shows that living people have a way of showing back up at some point…”
“I didn’t realize how long this assignment was going to take exactly.”
“Well, would you look at that… Guess I’ll have to get your file back from the scrap drawer.”
“I was doing Poise work off on the other side of the country. You couldn’t have possibly forgotten about your most important photographer.”
