O admiration in falling asleep
ready for summer
A commission of Milly from The Boy Who Could Fly !!!
The wonderful Vaughn had me draw a skeleton in a standard diving suit! Had a lot of fun trying to work out sketch-to-painting techniques here.
Curious what this is? Well it will be a minute before I can finish and share. In the mean time, I post snippets and previews on my Instagram over at fend.draws!
Follow me there to see my sketchbook, previews, and a from time to time a few pieces that will not be posted here!
Compilation of some recent commissions. I had an art-crisis in the middle of these haha but here they are!

wow it has been three years since I posted a sketchbook dump. Anyways I have been drawing a TON in my sketchbook so here’s some of it.
(but by no means all of my sketchbook -- I post a lot more on my Insta @fend.draws!!)
in honor of Ethan Hawke getting the nom for best lead actor and First Reformed getting best picture nom here is a study I did a few days ago that I was going to publish in a compilation but what a great opportunity!
“We ate the strawberries and drank the wine -- as Sebastian promised, they were delicious together... and lay on our backs, Sebastian’s eyes on the leaves above him, mine on his profile, while the blue-grey smoke rose, untroubled by any wind, to the blue-green shadows of foliage, and the sweet scent of the tobacco merged with the sweet summer scents around us and the fumes of the sweet, golden wine seemed to lift us a finger’s breadth above the turf and hold us suspended.” (Brideshead Revisited, Evelyn Waugh)
And here is a compilation of my progress since 2013 :’- ) it is really easy to feel like I am so stagnant but it is nice to see
Haven’t done this since 2015 and well part of my 2019 resolutions is to devote more time to art... so :- ) here’s what the past year looked like.
Listened to the Prisoner of Azkaban audio book lately while working and remembered my love for Lupin (and Sirius) !
So here’s a quick exercise/warm up of Lupin. More work on the way.
the world MAY be ending, but crowley likes making the smoke after a pull last for much longer than necessary so he can practice being a dragon. aziraphale likes crowley
(warm up as I plow on thru some projects!)
this was a crazy wild learning process! And it would not be learning if I was happy with the end result haha
