Throwback Video

Since my still favorite live action Spider-Man is returning to theaters and this year marks it’s 20th anniversary. I wanted to throwback to my review of it. Which is also about to turn 10. A lot of milestones with this one. I really love this movie and it’s ability to capture the classic Ditko and Lee vibe but also Romita. I just love this thing. Will have to do a rewatch.

Even if I associated this thing more with July 4th it’s back in theaters so why not now.

But seriously I have seen this movie so many times and it’s always so good.

Since Shrek 2 is back in theaters for the 20th Anniversary I wanted to throwback to it. This video isn’t too long ago, almost 2 years but it is the review that got me to rethink about this movie and really like it. Not sure what my deal was but glad I finally came around.

This weekend mark the 30th anniversary of John Waters Serial Mom. Probably the most like a mainstream comedy he ever made.

I actually got to watch them film some of this movie since the house where she pushes the AC on someone was filmed in my neighborhood growing up. It was cool we used to just go after dinner and watch them for a bit. So everything in that house I was like watching way off camera. Anyone who lived in that house I would tell about that every time I trick or treated that house til I stopped doing that.

Anyway good times I should really watch it again soon.

It’s been 10 years since this weird arty sci-fi movie came out from Johnathan Glaser. Probably one of the most interesting and art sci-fi film we’ve had in the last decade. Also always reminded me of the man who fell to earth. I still think about this one a lot a definite masterpiece of our era.

Also cool to see what Glaser can do with that genre and what Scarlett Johansson could do if she picked better movies to be in. She’s probably the best she’s ever been in this
