Olivia stood there, allowing him to step away. She gulped heavily in an effort to swallow the giant lump in her throat that would essentially hold back her tears. When he suggested that she leave she stepped towards him her hand reaching up to touch his shoulder. “You can’t shut me out, Lawson” she spoke, her voice quiet and shaky.”I have feelings for you, I’m living this with you”

Lawson jerked his shoulder back in an attempt to brush her hand off before taking another step away, his focus still on anything but the girl or the situation ❝ I really think it’s best that you go, Liv. ❞ he stated again, gritting his teeth not wanting the girl to get more upset than he knew she was if he in fact let out the anger he was currently holding back. ❝ Please, Liv. Just go. ❞

“There’s something else I have to tell you” she took a step towards him, taking a deep breath. “Will- is um, in the picture again, remember my high school boyfriend?” she looked down at her hands to avoid eye contact with him. “That’s sort of why I’m in a rush to get you to share your feelings, I gotta.. figure this out”

❝ Oh, ❞ That’s all Lawson, could seem to muster out at the moment. The fact that first girl he had ever actually had the ability to say he had feeling for, the only one who was worth it made him force his feelings for her out just because of an ex or maybe possible feeling for this guy he didn’t know all he knew is that it made him feel not only upset, but angry. He took a step back away from the girl. ❝ I think it’s probably best that you go, Liv. ❞ he whispered, turning his head to the side attempting to distract himself from looking at her

Olivia felt her heart skip a beat. “That’s the first time you’ve said that out loud” she spoke quietly, the reality of their situation seeping in. Her best friend now admitting his emotions and her standing there completely vulnerable having already shared hers. “What do we do? Neither of us know what to do”

Lawson let out a awkward chuckle.❝ I think that is the first time I have said that ever. ❞ he admitted, scratching the back of his head before shrugging his shoulders.  ❝ I have no fucking idea what to do, like I told you before-- I can’t be just friends with you, Liv. ❞

“What is wrong with me? I used to be so cool.. and I never needed any of this to validate myself, now I’m a dweeb”

❝ You are fine, me on the other hand am not. I use to not like anyone, yet here i am and i am pretty sure i having feelings for you. ❞

“So what do you want me to do? Because I’m young. I can’t wait for you. Friends then? Friends who don’t sleep together, don’t cuddle, don’t express interest in the other’s physical appearance, friends”

 ❝ I might not know what I want, but I know that I can’t be just friends with you, not anymore. ❞

“ I can’t do this. I can’t pretend like my emotions for you aren’t at an all time high. I can’t pretend like we’re just fuck buddies who have no strings attached. You need to tell me if I stand a chance here. I have to take care of myself now”

  ❝ You know if you do, you have to wait a while for me. I don’t do relationships, and it’s going to be hard for me to you know figure everything out. ❞

“You don’t want me unless we’re making out?”

   ❝ No, I want you at other times. ❞

“Thanks for the biology lesson but I’ll politely decline the offer to make out”

    ❝ Hm, alright. I guess i will have to politely turn down the offer of cuddling as well. ❞

“Okay now that definitely sounds like boyfriend/girlfriend stuff.. I don’t think friends makeout”

    ❝ It’s not just for boyfriends and girlfriends anyone can makeout if you are attracted to each other. ❞

“Could you please, for the love of all that is holy, please, please, please.. cuddle the shit out of me?”

      ❝ I think I can do that, if we could we also make out a little to? ❞

“Oh come on, tuck in your lower lip. There’s nothing attractive about a guy who gets easily offended. Cuddle me, Lawson. Cuddle the shit out of me”

“Cuddling. That sounds like something boyfriends and girlfriends do”

       ❝ Well when you put it like that it kind of makes me want to forget i ever asked you to do that. ❞

       ❝ I know we didn’t really… but ever since you told you i started having some feelings that i have no clue what they are… all i know is that i care about you a lot and that i actually want to cuddle with you. ❞

“Usually there’s no boys allowed. I mean, who would I gossip about if you were the one I was gossiping to?”

       ❝ You could always just go gossip about me to my roommate while i go play video games and we could just save the cuddling for later. Before you say anything she is like a sister to me, but i still doubt she would ever share anything with me. ❞

“While although I’m sure the haunting would leave a lasting impression I don’t think it would be a good one. I’ve had plenty of friends who have met my parents.. when they come over and at sleepovers”
