ALRIGHT. LISTEN UP.

So recently, I got calls from the phone number, (937) 353-8319. They claim to be a job service, and one of their “employees”, Carrigan, is friends with whoever the call recipient is, and that Carrigan has recommended you for this $15.00/h “job”. I also got a text message from (937) 607-1493, claiming to be Carrigan, and that they need stuff to “win a scholarship”. I do not know anyone by the name of Carrigan and I know very well that this is a very dangerous scam. If you receive a call from a number, and they ask you if you would like a job for $15.00/h, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY. If you accept the “job” offer, and you go in for an interview, they will give you a drugged bottle of water and you will wake up somewhere you don’t want to be. These phone calls & texts are from a human trafficking service, and if you oblige to them, you will be sold to people and you will be raped, no doubt about it. So PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS OR TEXTS. I have listened to the voicemails, and allowed my dad to do the same, and he learned that anyone offering a $15.00/h “job” is a human trafficker. PLEASE SIGNAL BOOST THIS ALL OVER TUMBLR

Okay, I am reblogging this because it is relevant again. I got another call from a 353 number. Not the exact same number, but I know that it is a trafficker because it’s 353 just like the last one. I also want this to signal boost so PLEASE REBLOG THIS.

The person I reblogged this from deserves to be happy

I tried to scroll past this. I really did
I feel like minor acts of kindness and good intentions are really important on days like this.

can you imagine a world where the only pictures we had of Calum were the ones of his actual skin tone??? And all the album covers weren’t edited?? And not a single “Asian joke” had ever been made or even been a passing thought? Imagine not having to scroll forever or go ahead and reedit a photo yourself just to get rid of whitewashing???? Can you imagine if the word whitewashing didn’t exist?? Can you imagine that men and women with extremely dark skin weren’t made to feel that they could never be considered beautiful??? Can you imagine that if instead of borrowing wigs or contouring white features to make them appear to be similar to poc….they just used poc??? When did it become ok to fetishise features but demonise a skin tone??? This is the only case where kink shaming is perfectly healthy and ok and should be encouraged!! Erasure of someone’s identity in any capacity is never ok so why is it being accepted to chip away the part of them that someone (who is this person) finds less than aesthetically pleasing??? Who thought people wouldn’t buy the album unless Calum’s skin was edited to appear whiter?? BIG MISTAKE! HUGE! I think more people would have bought the album if it hasn’t been edited because more people could have said hey he looks like me! And if you don’t understand that concept or don’t think representation matters….that’s probably because you’ve been accurately represented your entire life. You never had to close your eyes and strain your imagination to picture yourself as the lead girl/guy. You never had to sigh as yet another beauty tip was not relevant to your skin and/or hair. You didn’t have to be filled with pure unadulterated joy when an actor or model was featured on a magazine that had your skin tone or features because it was such a rare occurrence. Even with the live production of The Wiz. The Wiz has been around for decades and yet the thought of an entire cast inspiring a whole new generation that yes you too can make it and be whatever you want was so threatening to some that they tried to turn it into a joke! How dare you! How dare every single one of you who takes everything and still demands more! How dare you for belittling the feelings of many because you’re unbothered! Sure let’s imagine that Calum “doesn’t mind” being subtly told repeatedly that his skin tone isn’t good enough. Have you ever thought twice before slinking behind your computer screen anonymously and saying it’s fine? Have you ever thought about all the people who know Calum does in fact mind and want to defend him but also want to defend themselves? Because if you don’t think that whitewashing a prominent poc’s skin isn’t sending a message to every poc…..well, I guess I could have left it at you don’t think

Please do not purchase anything from Arzaylea’s recently opened webstore. Not only can you get the same items for 50% less almost anywhere else, she has committed copyright breach by stealing someone else’s intellectual property. Stargaze Jewelry and Sunlit Daisy are some of the victims who have spoken out about this. Please do not support this act of plagiarism. How would you like it if someone stole your ideas & made money off of it? You should give your money to someone who has worked for it.
