4.05.2024 // an overview of my april'24.

I've been trying to keep a track of how I spend my days. It is hard to not be harsh on myself when I see how many 'break' days I took, but then I have to remind myself that I took those days off for a reason – be it to travel, to explore the city, to do chores or simply because I knew that I wouldn't be productive that day. I started off with a simple tracker but I hope to gradually build on it and adapt it in an useful manner.

02.05.2024 || I'm in the Alps for the long weekend and idk it's kinda weird to have such big mountains with snow and everything right in front of me... I've taken my master thesis here too and managed to write over a page already

And I have also became friends with a flock of hens!! Mountains are cool and stuff but the hens...!! :D

Some days you have to study in bed as a compromise, because otherwise you wouldn’t study at all.

gotta meet yourself wherever you're at on any given day. on the days where you only have 20% in the tank but you gave it your all, you still gave 100%.

2024.04.29 | Day 99/100 days of productivity

Back on the grind! I’m hoping g to get a bit further in my analysis today and also get into some of the materials my supervisor suggested.

Today’s goals:

  • Work on analysis for 3+ blocks (3/3)
  • Finish the first 3 chapters of the book my supervisor suggested (3/3)
  • Drink water (2/3)

I'm begging other trans people to read an ounce of Black Feminist or Decolonialist Feminist writing. I'm on my hands and knees and begging you. I promise you, I promise you, there is so much more to Feminist theory than anything you have picked up from White/Radical/Pop/Liberal Feminism I promise you. Read There Is No Hierarchy Of Oppressions By Audre Lorde. I have a link to the PDF right here you can read it for free. Take my hand I can't do this alone (thanks glass beach). Peace And Love On Planet Earth.

I've recommended them a thousand times but Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall, White Tears, Brown Scars by Ruby Hamad, and Mediocre by Ijeoma Oluo are excellent reads for those wanting to understand some of the voices of the brown women behind intersectional feminism (and in Mediocre's case, in politics and society as a whole in comparison to white men), and how we aren't being heard in white feminist spaces. Some Kimberle Crenshaw as well for the origin of (the term) intersectional feminism, even!

25.02.24// went to see priscilla yesterday and i absolutely loved it! i've read the book before (just as like 95% of all elvis-related things ever published) and i was really curious about how the movie turned out - it was even better than expected though!

last week at work really exhausted me, so i just chilled a bit which is always appreciated!
