hey while we’re all talking about hank green… saw this tweet from krtzyy

and i have to make sure you guys know about scishow, a really great science channel where hank is one of the hosts, and also crash course which covers A LOT of educational topics! crash course in particular is amazing, it helped me so much through high school and even now in college. it’s great for people who can’t follow classroom teaching easily or have trouble following along with vague instruction from academic books (at least in my opinion), and there’s lots of visual guides in the video that help you really understand the concept if you happen to be a visual learner. the one complaint i’ve heard from other students i know who have used these videos is that all of the hosts tend to talk fast, but personally that works great for me

the trivia is nice too but seriously, if you enjoy his tiktoks or like his personality or whatever, you should REALLY check these channels out. they’re so great, hank and all the other hosts on these channels do a fantastic job <3

I have to add to this (if that’s okay!) because one of my favorite channels is mostly narrated by him!

It’s called Journey to the Microcosmos, and it explores the microscopic world of tardigrades and algae and fungi and bacteria and protozoa. It’s very educational and entertaining to watch, and I have had an existential crisis after watching these videos on more than one occasion. Also, the music they use is very good, kind of like the Minecraft OST insofar as its vibe!

If I had to recommend any in particular, I go back and watch this one every now and again because it does just… get to me every time for some reason. Here’s one he narrated on tardigrades that’s very informative and has lots of adorable footage of the little guys! And lastly, here’s one on stentors, which are super fascinating giant single-called organisms.
