Norwegian artist May Snevoll von Krogh explores how human actions and decisions may affect the environment in her installation ‘Ataraxia’, consisting of a field of flowers made from high fired porcelain, where each flower is illuminated from the inside: “I wanted to emphasize the repercussions of the choices we make, both as a desire for increased awareness and responsibility, but also as a reminder of our own vulnerability. The title Ataraxia is a greek term used by Pyrrho and Epicurus for a lucid state of robust tranquility, characterized by ongoing freedom from distress and worry.”
