I started this experimental project in hopes to bring something new to the rp community as well as in hopes to have something I can work on again but family issues have gotten in the way. I have had a rough last couple of months and unfortunately will not be able to keep up this project as you probably all have saw. @rambinwrites messaged me yesterday about taking over this project and I have granted her that wish. I have worked with Rambin before and have given her all rights to use the storyline and rules as she wishes. This will be reborn again under her creative influence and voice and on a completely new page. I hope this idea lives on but for now goodbye RP community I am officially signing off xo

Challenge Almost Over!

Reblog or tell your friends to come in and help create the town of Olde Grove + Liberty University. 

The submissions end tomorrow (if the deadline needs to be extended let me know)! We have 7 submissions, but i’d love to see more! You can submit anything from pictures to aesthetic ideas to small paragraphs of town and university folklore (think supernatural + gothic).  This is a chance shape the setting of our story!

You can absolutely post them in the talk tag (I encourage everyone to use it!), but by submitting them I will be able to have them on file and it would be easier to compile for when I make the town’s page!

Absolutely! You’re on the money. You can write about a mystery or folklore the town tells you can… send me picture boards for the “feel” or aesthetic of Olde Grove AND Liberty University. You can design and create dorm halls, the campus map, the town map, local businesses, seriously a n y t h i n g you think would be cool in this town and university. 

Almost all will be in the story! if there are overlapping things (such as two drugstores) i will combine the ideas!

This is our story, let’s create it together!

Hey Authors, so this is your first creative challenge! If you have read the Summary of the Story then you may have seen a bit of it at the end, here I will explain it in more detail!

I have already drawn up a template for what I want Olde Grove and Liberty University’s feel to be. But we have to remember this is our story. Until Monday, November 28 (if this is too soon do not hesitate to yell at me in the inbox), I will have my [ SUBMIT ] open for you to submit any of the following:

  • Picture templates for the “feel” and look of Olde Grove and Liberty University.
  • Snippets of text describing parts of the town and parts of the University.

This means if you want certain: folklores, tales, mysteries, landmarks, businesses, etc. incorporated in THIS story this is your chance!

Setting is important in a story especially one like this. All we know so far is that Liberty University is a small, old, and respected Liberal Arts College "seeking for truth" in a small town who is in love with folklore. Try to aim for: American Gothic feel. Pull upon Midwestern Gothic or Southern Gothic for your inspiration! Here is a list of places I have pulled inspiration from:
