something that always gets me about that ending scene in the Mad Love comic is just the sheer amount of blood in these two panels.

every time i remember this it just brings me so much pain. like there's blood in the episode, but not "laying in a pool of her own blood" type. like she's So fucking hurt and it makes my blood boil that this comic, this specific horrific event for her, is what those shippers decided would be the perfect ship name.

when I say mad love shippers don't care about her or the abuse she's suffered through, I mean it. and if they do acknowledge it, it's in a justifying way where they make outlandish comparisons to "prove" that they're just as bad as one another and that's what makes them a perfect villain power couple, because they're both fucked up and abusive. it's mutual. they will cut out every bit that doesn't fit their view and pretend the ending product is being shown in full context.

and it's just fucking not.

its beyond frustrating especially because with comics, sometimes that is just what you have to do, sometimes characters are written ridiculously ooc or downright offensively and you have to be able to tell the difference or you're gonna have a difficult time getting through stories cause it happens a LOT.

but that's frankly never the case with Joker's abusive actions. Even if Harley's ooc, even if the rest of the comic is awful, his level of cruelty is never something that's unbelievable. it's never not in character for him. versions that try to make him a uwu sad boy are the outliers. And they always will be.

The Joker is a sexist, cruel, unfunny loser who gets off hurting others. He's abusive towards his girlfriend and he's abusive to children. He's abusive towards the hyenas. He does not have a single redeeming quality.

Ugh, was having a great time mocking my recently imprisoned rival when I noticed the camera positioning makes it so that I appear behind the bars, thus framing me as trapped in a metaphorical prison of the narrative, now my whole day is ruined. Fuck.

I get it, man. The other day, I survived a shootout, only to realize that a stray bullet went through a mirror in such a way as to look from the camera's perspective like I got shot in the head through the mirror, so now I have to acknowledge that something that could be reasonably referred to as "me" really did die that day, and it's just like "jfc, gimme a BREAK"

ugh dont even get me started on how the other day i tried to sit on the throne of my conquered foe and light a cigar to celebrate my victory but the lighter wouldnt work and it had to be lighted by the vizier who used to work for my enemy but that i enlisted to work as a double agent and help me in my coup. that jerk afterwards said with a devilish smile "ill always be at your service my liege" and i just KNOW that he said that exact same thing to the previous ruler. signifying that my victory was phyrric since i am still caught in an endless cycle of violence and betrayal. that really spoiled the whole mood

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
