Day 154 / 365 Squares 3
Back to 4 colors bic ballpoint.
For Sci-Fi Dolphin Saturday, I’m stretching the definition of “sci-fi” to feature Tom Jung’s half-sheet movie poster art for 1973’s “The Day of the Dolphin.” I need to know the history behind how “unwittingly” was added to that tagline.
Little Poison Ivy to round out the weekend.

The Lady and the Stag
Older work of a world I'd love to return to! These lines were done on paper, which created it a certain softness that I really enjoy. Klimt and Egon Schiele were some of the major inspirations 😊
Long time no see :) I haven’t posted on this blog in forever (I’M SORRY!), I kind of got out of the habit of posting regularly to social media and was eventually only posting to instagram sporadically but I really wanted to post an update!
I’ve been revisiting a lot of the techniques I was experimenting with whilst at uni again, in so far as layer modes and manipulating parts of the paintings with duplication/chromatic aberration which has been super fun and honestly I’ve never enjoyed the painting/art making process so much! I always used to feel like I shouldn’t play around with my paintings too much and keep them as close to the original as possible, but allowing myself this freedom is helping me to express my ideas way more and just have fun with my art which hasn’t happened in forever.
In short, space elves but with ( ( d i s t o r t i o n ) )
