Are some feminist attacking Bey? 👀

If you mean white, stupid feminists, yes. Annie Lennox is not the first one, and she won’t be the last.

And yes, she’s stupid because she only focused on the twerking part or whatever, instead of all the things Beyoncé’s done for girls and modern feminism.

If you have some reading, you can learn twerking is just not a booty shake. It’s not (only) a sexy/sexual dance. It has roots. It has history. You have to learn it. You have to practice. It’s considered a pro-dance by lots of people. Men also do it in some cultures.

So the first thing we have to do is LEARN about twerking and then DESEXUALIZE it as it’s the only consideration it got, because it’s hurting itself, its culture and its appreciation.

I invite you to read some of these articles: (x) (x) (x) and think about it.

Following the point, one of the things feminism claims and wants is the desexualization of the woman body. The woman body is beautiful and it’s not just a sexual object. If you can only see tits and pussy in a woman body, it is YOUR PROBLEM. You have the dirty mind, not the woman. Women can show their bodies and don’t be labelled as sluts. Feeling comfortable with your body is NOT BAD. It’s not slutty. It makes your self-steem higher, it helps you to make yourself confident and stronger. It empowers women, and empowers other women to do it.

Another thing is the control over women. People feel the right to tell women what or what not they can do. What is good to do and what is bad. Even women themselves. Who is Annie Lennox to tell who/which is feminist/feminism and which/who is not?

And the final point is equality. Why is it right when boys show their fit bodies through short and little pieces of clothing, but it’s wrong when a woman do it? Why are we surrounded by nude man bodies (famous people, magazines, television, ads, performances, etc) and we are OK with that but we don’t act the same with women? Why a woman can’t feel comfortable enough to put on a short dress or a maillot and show some skin in front of thousands of people? Would we act the same if the one shaking his ass and showing their abs was a boy? I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t.

I could go on but I think you got the point.

I also read Annie wants to sit with Beyoncé (and some other artists) and ask about some things. I really hope Bey sits with her one day and put her shit together.

*I want to clarify I admire Annie Lennox because of her previous work, she’s a great artist, but she fucked it up here and she’s wrong for it.
