I once idolized All Might. I wanted to be All Might. Then I saw the truth about the society of heroes he epitomized. I saw that he was not the symbol of peace, but the symbol of my own oppression.
And so I had a new dream. A new goal. To be a reflection of him, to show the world what a twisted, warped being he truly is. What all heroes are. Why we would be better off without them.
I will prey on his weaknesses and lay them bare for the whole world to see.
Art made of a friend’s MHA OC from a RP server
We have ten days to pay the back rent or we’ll be evicted. I need $400 by the 18th. I haven’t been able to go out and make any money because I hurt too badly to DoorDash lately. Roomies are applying for jobs but no luck.
Anything helps, boosts, donations, whatever. I also sell commissioned art, check @taralyn@mastodon.art for info there or check my commission post here.
If you want to help me directly, you can donate via my Ko-Fi or Cashapp:

Yesterday was 19 years on HRT for me, so yay
I haven’t stopped working on art.
Getting used to a using a wheelchair is hard. Portraying confidence and competence when using that chair is even harder.
Here’s the secret: full, smooth movements.
This makes for a more controlled push, especially on slick surfaces
On flat surfaces, start the push from where your hips are seated in the chair and on steep surfaces start the push as far back as you can without causing the front of the chair to lift.
Lean into the push with your body. This gives you more control, speed, and power with each push and will be especially helpful when dealing with inclines.
Push the wheel until your arm has fully extended and then release the tire. Let the chair do the work here: don’t push more than you have to in order to keep a consistent pace. The less energy you expend when moving, the better off you’ll be.
Once you get your chair up to speed, push more with the heel of your palms than your hands. What you want to avoid doing is grabbing the wheel and accidentally slowing yourself down
If your chair is built and measured correctly, you should easily be able to steer it with just your hips. Making small adjustments and balance is a great way to deal with rough terrain or sudden inclines.
See a crack in the sidewalk? Time your movements so you pop the front of your chair over it just as you reach it? Steep curb cut? Speed up, lean forward and attack it head on.
Don’t slow down, don’t hesitate, and don’t stop moving. It’s your chair and your body and you’re more than capable of handing whatever these shitty sidewalks throw at you.
Trust me when I say that it’s the tiny, chin-in-chest struggle-pushes that act like a bat-signal for so-many hapless Good Samaritans who think they know what’s better for you.
By keeping your movements smooth and consistent, you’re giving off an air of confidence and control and you’re going to reduce the number of people who stare or try and stop and help without asking.
Perhaps the preview is a little messy, but there have been a few art projects done so far this month.
I did up a new set of graphics for my Twitch channel that I call my “Cosmos” set.
I also did some stream layouts which can be found on this Twitter post.
On the non-Twitch side, I did two portraits so far.
Admittedly, my output has not been as high this month as I’d like it to be. As a disabled woman, sometimes I just don’t have the energy to work on things, even things that most people consider leisure projects, like artwork. But this is getting things caught up.
I do plan to work on more stuff for the remainder of the month, however, and you will see it here when it’s complete. (Unless it’s Patreon stuff.)
February Projects So Far Perhaps the preview is a little messy, but there have been a few art projects done so far this month.
Hey y’all, you may or may not know me already – it’s fine either way. If you do, you already know what I do. If not, then lemme tell you quick. My name’s Taralyn, and I’m a digital artist and graphical designer. I make portraits and have recently branched into streaming graphics. This blog will be mainly only for art posts, so that everything’s all nice and streamlined in the future. Some of my…
The Boys
lets just turn abandoned shopping malls into affordable apartments and keep the food courts and comfy palm trees and fountains and places to sit that’d be real nice
This beautiful girl turns 11 today!
Did a pair of projects on stream over the past week. One of them is my new profile pic. This is your friendly reminder that I still do art and I do take work.
You can check out my commission order sheet here!
There are also other ways you can support me, such as my Patreon. More support = more time to work on art!
I’m alive.
I drew something cute. It’s all digital. No traditional sketch used.
I’ve got more art coming this week, but Patreon supporters will get to see it before anyone else.
I finally did it.
If I can bring in enough, I will be able to afford to do more art, and even potentially restart Scootaling.
I’m not trying to hold it hostage for money here, but I do go through a LOT of sketchbooks and pencils when I go on an art tear and right now I just can’t afford it. Groceries alone are decimating my budget.
(Info is current as of 31 October 2017)
Updated commission-related stuff!
Prices and other info are now listed in the pic itself, so a mile-long wall of text is no longer needed. Some of the prices have been changed, and there’s also two new options - digital lineart without color is now available, and in addition, I’ve opened up commissions to do full 4- or 6-panel comics.
If the examples listed above aren’t enough to convince you, you can also browse through my art tag.
The commission sheet has been updated, finally.
