hi! I read junkyard dogs in about June last year. It actually changed how I looked at Eren and Levi/strongly impacted my POV. I can't remember if I finished it in one night or not, I'm pretty sure I did. anyway, it is my favorite fic and i am really happy to have found your tumblr; (after actually waking up, going to the bathroom, and feeling nostalgic with the smell ? my mom bought a detergent we had back in june, and i remembered reading JD at 4 am i'm getting up to pee multiple times. ❤

This is incredibly late. I'm not even sure if you even check tumblr, but I just read JD and I'm just... mindblown. It's so incredible I want to cry. It inspired me to start writing again. Your story is LITERAL PERFECTION. It's so raw, deep and beautiful and I'm drowning in mixed emotions. It made me open my eyes and think, and realise things. It's going to stick with me for a long, long time. I want to say more but JD was so amazing that my brain has short-circuited. Thank you so much for it.

AAAA thank u so much dearest anon!!! i’m so glad u enjoyed JD ;v;

(1/3 or 4 idk lols)Holy shit I just finished JD and can I just say even though you did set in stone that there isn't much metaphors and Levi was in actual prison and Eren was an actual person, what if he wasn't? It sounds crazy and it's not true at all but I really like this interpretation and I hope you think it's any good. So yes, in this interpretation Levi is still actually in jail and did commit all of his crimes, but that's about it. Later on, Levi gets in a really bad fight/ in a coma or

(2/3 or 4) something related to Smoking. And he imagines an angel coming in and becoming his sunshine. This angel sort of does everything to win his trust and soon breaks free from the prison to go back to heaven, leaving a trail for Levi to follow. When Levi burns himself/tries to die is his form of accepting his death, and his escaping is his freedom and following the Angels path. Once arriving to da ocean, and as you left us on a cliffhanger, is when the angel finds him and Levi dies in the
(3/3)Real world. It’s really sad and grim but I really like metaphorical things like this and JD captured that essence like nobodies buisness! I hope that was somewhat interesting to read 😂😂. Anyhow, I also believe that Levi didn’t live through when he was burned alive, that his breaking out was leaving earth and seeing the ocean was seeing heaven, that Eren actually died a while after leaving and when he ‘visited’ him was just a dream or somethin along those lines. Anyways, love ya lots💕💕

oh my gosh so sorry for not responding to this earlier - i rarely check this blog otl BUT !!! this is a super interesting interpretation! ngl i actually debated on whether i really did want to make eren real when i was writing this - but i figured i would overwhelm my readers if i made it too abstract @ n@

nonetheless i really really like this! because it really does make sense with jd, and honestly even if said that levi’s in actual prison & eren’s a real person, you can totally run with this interpretation! it esp makes sense with levi not surviving the burning and that he just saw heaven at the end!

aaa this was great ♥ thank you so much for reading jd & sending me these messages of your interpretations! i always feel super flattered when ppl do this, so huge huge thank yous ♥♥♥

Who are your favourite authors?

admittedly, i haven’t read as many books as i would like, so my list is fairly short. i like stephen king a lot; his plots and word choice are incredibly enticing. i also like f. scott fitzgerald because his writing is just soooo beautiful, like it just flows so well. and i guess i should throw in j.k. rowling because i feel like she’s a literary genius. the way she intertwines elements of each book together to make something whole is beyond me. i also appreciate darren shan and suzanne collins because their writing just keeps me on the edge and it’s great.

How much of Levi was you? And how much of you was Levi? I'm just curious about your experience being in Levi's head and on top of that, writing in first person POV.

aaahh admittedly this is kind of a difficult question to answer since it’s been a while since jd + i don’t have any specific scenes to go off on.

but !!! i can tell you that i have never ever experienced anything levi has experienced, prison and circumstance-wise. as for thoughts and perception, i could probably relate on a very verrryyy low percentage – like about 2%. c:

How much of an influence did junkyard dogs have on your life?

honestlyyy probably little to not at all? if anything, it just influenced the way i write now, but that’s about it. c:

(2/2) Was Eren supposed to be a distraction? A catalyst? Levi said later that breakout was supposed to happen at night and that it probably would have happened regardless of Eren's intrusion; if so, why did Eren come in the morning (Sunshine?) and if he was intelligent enough to organize it, did he know the breakout wouldn't need him necessarily (his promise?)? (I'm sorry, so sorry, This is probably the equivalent of me thinking out loud. The answer's probably obvious and I'm high on no sleep.)

hey there!! im afraid i didn’t get the first half of your message ; A;

but aaa regardless, eren was both a distraction and a catalyst, i would think. in reference to the breakout – eren didn’t understand the impact he had. to him, he was just keeping his promise bc eren’s loyal like that.

tbqh levi just blew eren’s importance out of proportion (as you can see towards the end, levi def has a tendency to exaggerate). if you were to take this story from another point of view, eren’s role wouldn’t be so prominent to everyone else.

hope this helped?? THANKS FOR READING THO !!

  • for ereriweek day 7: soul mates - [ON AO3]
  • modern au where the voice in your head belongs to your soul mate
The voice that speaks his thoughts has a German accent. Levi’s not entirely sure why it’s a German accent – because quite frankly, he’s English – but he supposes it’s because he has always been attentive to the Germans’ articulations. He can’t actively recall when he noticed the accent, but he assumes it has always been there. The voice in head has never changed, after all.

“Have you ever been kissed?”
The question comes out of no where, so needless to say, Sousuke has some trouble processing it at first. He looks up from his novel, eyes narrowing ever so slightly at Momo (who’s not even looking his way, mind you). After a moment’s wait, he dismisses the question, figures that perhaps — perhaps he just misheard — but then Momo peers up, meets his steady gaze, and says, “On the mouth, I mean.” Sousuke knows then that he had, in fact, heard right.

Helloo, jst wanted to say that Junkyard dogs is really great! It really did make me feel many different kinds of emotions while reading. And the ending kinda left me with the feeling of melancholy. Well anyway very big thanks!! *hugs* PS. I have a feeling that I'm going to read it again in the near future, haha. Thank you!

I got a question about JD, in the FAQ there was a question where it said that Levi and Eren's relationship is heavily one-sided, I understand Eren being Levis light or sunshine and that Levi depended on him without realizing it. But the only impression Levi left on Eren couldn't be only that quote, right? Eren did care about Levi, as in had some feelings for him bc he cared for him, right? Sigh this fic fucked me up. I love it I love it its so well written I applaud you ;-;

Avatar

ah, yes, eren definitely did care about levi! what i meant by “one-sided” was that levi was more dependant on eren in that, without eren, his views wouldn’t have shifted this way. eren most definitely does care about levi, because honestly, after being each other’s support for that long in prison, an incredible, unbreakable bond has gotta exist. ; v;

& thank u bunches!! im glad to hear you liked JD

ereri | locked out, locked in

  • based on this prompt: “eren as the shit first year who’s always banging on RA! levi’s door bc he’s locked out again

Okay. Here’s the thing. Eren might have an itsy bitsy, teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini crush on Levi. Might. Never mind him being eighteen and Levi being older than sliced bread. Never mind him being a weirdo freshie with a leather jacket fetish and Levi being a kool-aid in a wine glass upperclassman. Never mind all of that. Point is, he’s this wildcard nerd and Levi’s the embodiment of an AXE Body Spray commercial. In other words, Levi looks fucking hot but smells like fucking no.
