Bananie Cosplay and Photography (aka @adzusai) is a photoshop god. Iluvu.

Fem!Kylo Ren cosplay! This is probably my favorite cosplay to date. The surcoat was super warm and heavy. It was also my first time working with leather and I will probably try to use it as much from now on! Leather is a pretty great crafting material.

I post more often on Facebook nowadays at Kinokodon Cosplay if you want updates. :)

Holy cow, I forgot I have a cosplay Tumblr. I disappeared from Tumblr for a long time due to personal problems. Then I came back...because of Star Wars.

Star Wars was my first exposure to fandom when I was a child. It wasn’t an entirely happy exposure but it had its upsides. I can say the same for now but I don’t see the point in running from it again.

Made genderbend Kylo Ren for Anime Los Angeles ‘16. This is probably now one of my favorite cosplays despite having to deviate from original plans about 7 times.

Featuring Katsudon Cosplay as my genderbend Rey. :3 We had a lot of fun being...well us. Basically. ALSO, IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE THE ADORABLE REY WHO WAS ROOMING NEXT TO US AT THE BEST WESTERN, I’M SO SORRY I DIDN’T GET YOUR NAME. I was starting to fade by late afternoon.

I am more active on Facebook as Kinokodon Cosplay. Follow me there if you want.

Photo credits to J. Li Clover Gallery, who I terrified the entire day. ;) You’re still awesome in my books.

My friends helped me work on this all night. x_x Many, many thanks to Annie, Steve and Kinokodon for helping me sand this monster! <3

Hey Miss Pannie, you have something that never got finished. Surely, you aren't going to let all our hard work go to waste? :P

This is my way of pummeling Panngelicious Cosplay into making/finishing stuff so more pretty things shall be posted for everyone. XD

This was meant for Valentine's Day but Fire Emblem can be for anytime right?

Me as the Avatar and Bananie as Tharja. We did this as part of a shoot for Valentine's Day that was supposed to be "Confession" scenes but we obviously deviated from this. We all ended up having a load of fun goofing around and playing around as the characters.

Borrowed the coat from my buddy Alex, who seems to have cosplayed every single FE: Awakening character...except female characters but we never know right ;)?

Not perfect, I know. I forgot to wear my bracelets for this photo and I want to fix a few things up. Otherwise, this cosplay is one of my favorites to wear. Wore it to Otakon Vegas and need to find another opportunity to wear it again. I need more cons, cosplay meetups, and cosplay-friendly events to attend. Anyone aware of stuff in the SoCal area?

DRAMAtical Murder is one of my favorite Nitro+Chiral games. It's knocked Lamento down to 3rd. Togainu no Chi still holds top favorite, but that might be because some of my favorite voice actors and artists are involved in it so I'm biased ^^;

More stuff to come. I need to remember I have a Tumblr sometimes @_@

Long time, no see. Imagine that in a Sengoku BASARA Masamune voice please XD

I'm alive! I swear! Just drowning in the flurry of the holiday season. 2013's end and 2014 beginning rolled around with a bunch of life records for me. For starters, going to Vegas within 6 months. While this sounds unimpressive to most, I've only ever been to Vegas twice in my life and those two visits were spaced a decade apart. Now it's 4 times and those last 2 were close together.

Next, I had always wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil show. My first was Iris in LA in late 2012 but it didn't make much of an impression upon me. I was told it wasn't an ideal first for a Cirque show. Then, I got free tickets to Totem on Christmas Eve (it was pretty good! I like the music and concept) so I went to see that. Then, right after New Years, I went to Vegas and got to see then as a last-minute surprise, I got to see Ka'. So if you see any weird Kabuki styled makeup tests here, I do apologize and blame Ka' because my favorite character is the Counselor's Son.

However, my primary reason for going to Vegas was for Otakon Vegas. Which was a pretty cool con for a first year and I highly recommend. I had a blast and met a lot of cool people who I hope to see again at future cons. :D

Now, ALA is about to stomp me down unless I get off my computer and finish my cosplays for it! I've never been to a con within 2 weeks of each other so that's a new record too! Heck, this whole past year has been a new record in con attendance for me but it's so much fun that I have no regrets!

Pictures from Otakon Vegas forthcoming!

Showing off the lovely courtyard at the LAX Hilton...nah, just kidding. Naoto Fuyumine from Dogs: Bullets and Carnage. Plus a WIP photo.

I am particularly fond of this picture. Mostly because it showcases the train of my dress so well. That thing took a long time to assemble, what with the ruffles and pinning them on the dress. Since I don't have a dressform, I had to hobo it up use my brain to set up my ironing board, a ton of clips, and a chair to hold up the dress so I could see how the train was falling into place.

Yes, yes, yes laugh at my set-up. I know I did. Especially when Bananie came home late at night, walked into the dark room, and nearly had a heartattack because there was "THIS WHITE THING THAT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS JUST STANDING THERE!!!!"

The thing I remember best about working on this is the ruffling and gathering. At one point in time when I was being goofy, I ended up laying out the full length of the longest bottom ruffle before it was gathered. It was longer than the full hallway of my house.

There is also an ridiculous amount of ribbon on this outfit and my person. Unseen in this photo on my back is lacing. Plus the lacings I replaced on my boots, wrapped my prop sword, and wrapped around my arm. Oh and stuck in my hair because I 1) look really bad with short hair and 2) thought "Oh what the heck. Artistic liberties plus I get to use MOAR RIBBON!!!!"

This photo was taken with the help of Panngelicious Cosplay, who would toss up the train of my dress and quickly dash away. Because we are too poor to afford giant fans...I mean too impatient to wait for a convenient breeze...

Long time, no see. Presenting a photo of me as Naoto Fuyumine from Dogs: Bullets and Carnage, a most excellent series by the awesome Miwa Shirow. Photo by Bananie.

Been very bad about updating Tumblr lately. Had to do a cull of various people I follow because a lot of Tumblr negativity was starting to get me down. I know people say don't take things too seriously but sometimes, it eats away at you.

Anyhow, let's kick the bad things of life away and focus on the good! Such as the fact I managed to pull this cosplay together properly in time for PMX! Originally, I was going to borrow a friend's cosplay but a very important component of it went missing. We're still not entirely sure how a full-length cape lined in bright purple just disappeared off into nothingness while all of the fiddly little accessories remained in perfect order. Just the magic of cosplay I suppose.

But at least I had this one to wear. Which is nice because I'd had it about 50% completed then forgot about it for 6 months due to other projects. I quickly finished it in time for PMX and got to wander around in what my friends and I have dubbed "the wedding gown".

Since this post is already long enough, I'll save the sewing commentary and con commentary for more upcoming photos of this ^_^

Dragon's Crown's Sorceress cosplay

More from the SPJA for Anime Conji shoot! If only my big hat wasn't blocking the lovely marina....*sigh*

Probably going to put up some behind-the-scenes fun after this. I think a lot of that is unappreciated, especially with the fun everyone had trying to make the person who is getting photographed laugh in a derpy way.

Currently seriously tempted to do a Ragnarok Online cosplay...but I don't think anyone would recognize it. :( Perhaps if I toted around some porings?
