i have the opposite of that “everyone is an npc” mentality people have embraced where i’m instead like. the person next to me in line has someone they can’t wait to go home to, the person picking up their mail has felt devastation before, everyone in this grocery store is doing their sunday shopping, maybe the person that just honked at me is having the worst day of their life, my neighbor has doctors appointments and favorite foods and a song they can’t stand to hear anymore… you are all fully realized complex people and that is overwhelming me on a spiritual level…
people are way too comfortable being dismissive of children and teenagers. if a toddler comes up to you and starts explaining skibidi toilet lore or if a 13 year old asks you if you want to hear about their mha ocs you have to listen with utmost sincerity or at least pretend to. this is the only way you will get into heaven.
genuinely depressing how people will dismiss the interests kids have because all it does is make them retreat into shame and never want to talk to you about anything again

i am obsessed with this moment from what we left behind. ira steven behr is basically like, "yeah so were they buddies? ^w^" and andrew robinson in a completely deadpan, 100% serious tone just says "they fucked." he doesn't hesitate, he doesn't miss a beat. he believes in garashir with his heart and soul and that is just so incredibly awesome
Im gonna shuffle my giant playlist of every song i like and if the very first one that plays isnt exactly what i want to hear right this second im gna lose it
A hundred years ago this month, Buster Keaton pushed the magic of cinema to peaks it had not reached before with one of his greatest and most unmissable masterpieces, Sherlock Jr. (1924)
simply dont monday
Crazy that they invented New York City just so Simon & Garfunkel would have something to sing about… they don’t do stuff like that anymore
Martok and worfs relationship is so special to me. Like martok just spent 2 years in a dominion prison camp getting the shit beaten out of him and knowing that while hes in there klingons are dying in a changeling engineered war so obviously hes feeling very disillusioned. But then this other weird klingon shows up FIGHTS THE JEM HADAR WITH ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IN HIM and suddenly hes cheering about triumphs and planning songs and hes actually excited rather than beaten down like theres a whole change in his demeanor from the start of in purgatorys shadow/by infernos light and its so wonderful to see.
And worf has spent the majority of his interactions with other klingons on star trek getting mocked for having a human upbringing or being in star trek or being dishonored and then he meets this klingon general who thinks hes the shit and starts immediately singing his praises. Their relationship is so important and i love it so much im so glad they became brothers
Hey. Don’t cry. “I fell in love with a lovely kitten. That kitten was myself.” and “I am happy because everyone loves me.” by Louis Wain, okay?
