I don’t think whovians from the eleven and twelve doctors realize how hard it was for the first fans of Rose when she left.

I know a lot of people don’t like her now, mostly because they loved Amy or Clara first (or even Martha or Donna), but Rose was perfect for us. 

She was perfect with Nine, and she was perfect with Ten (which was quite unexpected you know because how can a character be perfect in a ship when the other character literally changes his face ?). She was “normal”. She didn’t have any big dream, didn’t know what to do with her life, had a real mom and fell in love with a guy from space. She was us.

And then, she left.

Honestly I cried for days and couldn’t stand Martha at first (totally not Martha’s fault). I couldn’t imagine my perfect perfect ship was broken before it actually happened.

And then she CAME BACK.

One episode after another, we had signs that she were on her way. We had signs that she was going to find her doctor again. We got hope.

And she appeared. For the last time. And then she left again with a simili doctor.

And we never got to hear about her after that. Like she never happened. We never got to hear about Martha and Donna and Mickey and Jack after that… (except for the anniversary of course… in which Rose wasn’t even Rose… I still cried when I saw her)

And the doctor got a “wife” in 5 seconds while we didn’t even get a complete “I love you” after 2 seasons.

We were quite a lot to stop after that. Stop watching the show I mean. Because Eleven was a stranger. He wasn’t like Nine, he wasn’t like Ten, he was his own doctor with his own companions. Doesn’t really matter (for the show) because new fans came.

I watched Eleven. Mostly because I loved this show once so I couldn’t stop like that. I couldn’t watch Twelve. The only companion I really loved from Eleven’s era was Rory (and it was kinda hard because he kept dying). I couldn’t watch more about people I didn’t care about.

So I guess each fan has his own doctor, his own companions… but please, stop complaining about “Rose shippers”, “Rose fans”, “Tennant fans” etc… If you didn’t watch the show during this period, you don’t get to complain about us. Because you just don’t understand us. You don’t understand what was doctor who for us. The same way we stopped understanding it (for the ones who stopped of course) so we don’t get to complain about what it is now.

billie joe armstrong is like…the definition of chaotic good. a prime example of this is the fact that one time at a green day concert this guy in the pit was harassing a young girl so billie stopped the show to help her. however, his way of doing so was to jump into the audience, dropkick the guy directly in the face, and then fight him in a crowd of screaming fans

This is missing the best part - when he saw the guy, he tried to be like “Dude, stop” and when the man didn’t stop pushing the girl around he screamed “Fine! You wanna fight? I’ll fucking fight you, then!” and leapt directly into the crowd

Honestly, my view on this entire election has been that there is not good choice for president, and we are having to choose between two evils. Up until this point, I had decided not to vote at all. However, upon seeing these new developments, I will be voting. I will be voting to try to help ensure that Donald Trump will not be president, because this is ridiculous, and the fact that there are so many people in my country who firmly believe that he should be president is sickening.
