New beginning

Hi everyone,

I was absent for a long time but today I decided to start using my Tumblr once again. I changed during this few years so I'm not going to post anything connected with metal or rock. This time I'll concentrate especially on kpop, kdramas and Asia. If you are not interested in my future posts you are free to unfollow my account.

GOBLIN: The Lonely, Shining Goblin (First Impression)

This drama had a lot hype behind it because of the cast and writer. I came for the cast and the story.

Gong Yoo was my original kdrama Oppa. He was in the first kdrama I watched (Coffee Prince) and Goblin will make the third drama I have watched from him. I have also watched him in three movies. I always love the heart that he puts into his characters. I’m already happy with how he is playing Kim Shin/Dokkaebi. I can’t wait to see what he is going the rest of the drama.

Lee Dong Wook didn’t stand out to me this week, but I know it’s still early. What I did love from him was how that in the scenes with Gong Yoo he shined right along with him. Their petty bromance is a relationship that I’m looking forward too. Especially with how ep2 ended with that epic walk.

Kim Go Eun came off a little too aegyo to me at times, but it wasn’t to much for me yet. It came off more of her using it to tease than genuinely using aegyo. What does bother me about he character is that she is still in high school. I’m never ok with that type of relationship even if the roles are reversed.

I guess I can appreciate that they are not trying to glaze over the subject of her being that young. Judging by the preview for next week we might get a time jump but that is just speculation on my part. Her character could have still been young but in college if they wanted to bring the school aspect to the story.

Yoo In Na had me frozen just like the other characters in Goblins world. I love that she is a little weird and I can’t wait until her and Lee Dong Wook character meet. She didn’t appear until the second episode so I’m ready to see more of her.

Both sets of leads have good chemistry. I was looking forward to the LDW&YIN couple but bromance has won me over with only two episodes. I love the look and the ost of the drama too. I’m hoping this will turn out to be a really good drama especially after this really nice start. Is it Friday yet?
