They are breaking apart, slowly. He knows this. It may be wrong, it may be all in his head, but he feels it, so something must be off. This past year Seunghyun has been extremely invested in his movie, and Jiyong with his promotions that they – or he himself, maybe it was just Jiyong – had to endure not seeing each other for long periods of time. Seunghyun‘s attitude is making it harder also. When he is cheerful, he‘s all dimples and shimmery eyes, but when he is focused, he becomes distant, cold. You can never know what he‘s thinking deeply at the moment. Not even Jiyong.

It’s 8PM somewhere in Seoul on New Year’s Eve. The doorbell is ringing. Seunghyun opens the door and starts laughing right away. Jiyong is standing in front of him with two bottles of champagne in his hands and lots of fireworks stuffed in his Chanel backpack. "My hands are going to fall off, no reason to laugh for you, Seunghyun." Seunghyun reaches out his hands to take the load off Jiyong. "I have some movies as well. Somewhere in my backpack. And before you start complaining: Yes, also ‘Holiday’, I know how much you adore Cary Grant."
