please help! A horse i have known for my entire life is in an awful situation. Twinkie the lovable 14yr old palomino is in a bad situation. Due to a friends mother passing away she couldnt afford to own 3 horses. She sold twinkie to a young couple who said they will take amazing care of him. And they did, for a month and a half. Untill i was scrolling down my newsfeed and saw twinkies ad up as a reiner. Twinkie is a light riding horse only! Due to an injury if he slides, spins. Or does heavy work he will go dead lame. This couple knew about his old injury. They had his ad up telling people hes an amazing reiner. The owner immediately texted the couple and asked for him back. Turns out the couple signed a right of refusal, meaning she gets custody of him if the couple decided to sell him. The couple refused to give him back and said ” you can have him back on saturday for 1,000 dollars or hes being sold as a reiner.” Twinkie cant handle the hard work, which will lead to him getting put down. This is Pumpkin and his sister Kitty. They are both about 8 years old and were dumped off at a shelter in the Santa Clarita Valley after having spent the majority of their lives in a happy home. No one knows exactly why they were abandoned. Aside from both being declawed, they are perfectly healthy. However, they have been trying to find a home for over two months now. 

Pumpkin (the orange kitty) is very sad, due to his being abandoned and is leaning very heavily on his sister for support. The kind people trying to adopt them out desperately want them to be re-homed as a pair, but time is running out for their wish to come true. Please spread the word and help us find someone to make these kitties’ holiday a very special one.

GUYS YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW WONDERFUL THIS IS 

Parkinson’s is a degenerative disease and while it’s progress can be slowed down, it currently doesn’t have a cure. People suffering from Parkinson’s will experience a gradual loss of coordination and ability to perform even the most basic of every day tasks, including feeding themselves. 

This spoon is HUGEfor them. Look at that gif of the man just trying to eat with the regular spoon and compare it to the liftware device. It’s NOT just a spoon, by the way, it comes with a fork as well, for example. 

I found the website for the project where you can purchase a spoon for someone you know/love and even possibly donate money to help someone out who can’t afford it themselves right: HERE.

At the very least, please spread this for all the people who have Parkinson’s or loved ones with Parkinson’s. 

You’ll help them take part of their life back.

In a stunning turn of events today in Thailand, riot police yielded to the peaceful protesters they were ordered to harass and blocked. They police removing barricades and their helmets as a sign of solidarity.

The protesters explain that their goal is to destroy the political machine of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is accused of widespread corruption and abuse of power. Thaksin’s sister, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, is currently in power, and is seen as a puppet of her brother.

Suthep Thaugsuban, the leader of the widespread protests that have been going on in Thailand, told his supporters to storm the Bangkok Metropolitan Police Bureau. This was one of the primary buildings they vowed to take over in their vow to topple the Shinawatra government.

The move by police has surprised many, and marks a turning point in the protests and a potential shift in power.

Hey! There’s a lot of disjointed info out there about making puffy sleeves, and I thought it might be helpful to gather (ha) everything I’ve learned/found online in one place. Puff sleeves, more accurately known as “leg o’ mutton sleeves,” were popular between 1890 and 1906, and they’re a pretty common feature in fancy/ball gown costumes.
