Going to consider it for a few days, but I’m thinking of archiving this blog. It’s been pretty damn obvious my muse has been fickle as hell and I don’t know if I really want to keep the blog. Reason why I’m giving this a few days, is cause I’m in a kind of terrible mood at the moment, so maybe tomorrow or by friday i’ll think differently, but at the moment I’m considering just archiving and being done with it. If I don’t, I don’t see activity really picking up, but idk we’ll see what happens. Sorry.

Okay, so I a m going to archive this blog, but I’m going to make a new one. i dont know when, maybe by the end of the month. I really don’t want to drop this muse, but i need some kind of a change if im gonna keep him around so I think making a new blog and stuff is what’ll have to happen. might make the blog private/exclusive and really focus on things. I don’t think I’ll be relinquishing any of what’s happened here, but there’s gonna be changes.

It was –startling. Dom knew how to do this, he’d been married,  loved, and Arthur had experience, sure, but nothing of such…depth. Despite all his boldness and bluntness he could only stare at Dom’s collar, a smile twitching at his lips.

“You say that so easily.”

He laughed softly, nothing more than a hint. Dom thought of Mal for a moment, and shook his head. He’d loved before, certainly, more than he had ever wanted to. To love was to be vulnerable, and he hated being that way. Better to keep yourself closed off, so as not to feel the pain of loss should it come. Yet here he was, thinking Arthur might be different because of the longevity of their relationship.

“Nothing easy about it,” Dom said, “I never wanted to let you know in the first place, remember? Easier that way.”

Well, he was almost disappointed. Arthur’s face was nearly humorously caught off guard.

“–You’ve known me for years, Dom. You know I’m not….”

He trailed off, shaking his head.

“People want me to work with them. That’s...all they want.”

Dom shook his head, an amused smirk on his face after the initial surprise.

“What did you just say?” Dom said, closing the distance again, this time setting hands on the younger man’s shoulders, “We’ve known each other for years, right? We’ve been friends before we were really business partners. I think that makes me more than just ‘people’. I love you, Arthur.”

If that didn’t wipe the smile from his face, leaving him blinking dumbly as the space between them disappeared, then he didn’t know what would. His mouth pressed back on autopilot. Fingers braced against the edge of his desk. The use of his name was wholly accidental – and confusedly embarrassed.

Dom–”

He breathed out a soft huff of air, and shook his head a little as he leaned back. Blue eyes scanned Arthur’s face, and he cocked his head to the side.

“Do I have to warn you every time?” he said, shoving his hands into his pockets, “Why are you always so surprised?”

“–And sometimes it’s trouble.”

Arthur’s mouth twitches, a dimple appearing in his cheek.

“At least no one will misspell it this time.”

Image

                     “Trouble’s not so bad.”

Dom’s smirk was back, and he moved forward a little, leaning in so there was barely any space between them.

“Yeah,” he said, eyes settled on Arthur’s lips, “But maybe you can change my mind. Might like one or the other depending on...how you say it.”

Not that Dom planned to give Arthur the chance, capturing the other’s lips in a firm kiss as hands just brushed his jaw.
