i went to get my t-shot yesterday and it took me an hour and a half to get to the clinic and as soon as i got on the bed the nurse dropped my t-shot and it broke and now they're trying to make me pay for the replacement. i think the fuck not lmao

update: i phoned the clinic and was icily polite at a receptionist, who got very flustered and said no less than five times, "well, that's certainly a conversation we can have at some point!"

no, actually, i think this is a conversation we'll be having now, and the outcome of that conversation will be you paying for my medication. hope that clears things up :)

never underestimate the power of just being kind of a nuisance

For everybody else's future reference: pharmacies and clinics have insurance coverage for damaged and unusable medications like this.

Trying to push this off on a patient isn't just wrong, it's double-dipping.

American & British forces... 2 of the most powerful militaries in the world are still bombing the poorest country in MENA... Canada, Australia, The Netherlands, and Bahrain join in as well... absolutely despicable.

One thing that Firefox can’t do is allow me to access my telehealth therapy appointments. Three different platforms now have rejected my use of Firefox. I use Safari instead bc that’s what works and at least it isn’t chrome, but for folks who rightfully use Firefox, be aware that many, if not all, telehealth platforms will not work on Firefox (something about the encryption/security not being up to their standard, I believe; if there are hacks that Firefox gurus know to bypass this, please share with the class?).

Any reason the developers of those sites give that is not 'we're too lazy to check compatibility so we're blocking Firefox' is false.

In 20 years this will be history, in 20 years the United States will look back on what’s going on now, and they will say “We were like that before, but we’ve changed! We don’t do things like that anymore”

It is extremely important that we understand they’re lying, it’s extremely important that we don’t forgive them. We can’t forget the atrocities and genocides the US has been apart of, it’s failures to provide a safe, welcoming country.

The newer generations will learn about what happened in palestine, they will be taught that the protests worked, that eventually Biden did call for a ceasefire, that peace always works.

What we don’t know is if they’ll be lying.

And this is why we all need to download the pictures we're seeing. Not every single photo, but some of them.

Because Western countries will try to rewrite this. They will pretend the leaders didn't know the full extent of the atrocities. Certain images will become incredibly hard to find because if people can prove that civilians knew about fathers carrying their daughters into a hospital, hoping that doctors can save them, even though their little girls' intestines are falling out, the government cannot deny that they also knew about it.

We need to be record keepers. Because one day, kids will learn that the dastardly Netanyahu pulled the wool over poor grandpa Biden's eyes, and we need to have the proof that Biden knew full well what he was doing.

what do you people not understand about the fact that feeling guilty is not praxis and is, in fact, completely and totally useless

cannot emphasize enough that educating yourself about palestine should not be a method of self punishment, it should be a tool for advocacy and compassion. “this isn’t about you” means that this isn’t about your guilt either. expecting and acknowledging negative emotions does not mean chasing them. self flagellation accomplishes nothing.

now, with this in mind, you should never expect palestinians to censor themselves for your comfort. that’s not what i’m suggesting. i’m just saying that sometimes discomfort and fear and guilt are necessary to see a fuller picture of the world and figure out how to help: but guilt is not the point and will probably impede your efficacy in the long run

The way that the main arguments people have against the South Africa in the ICJ are:

  • South Africans government isn't perfect they have no right to take israel to court
  • They should take hamas to court!!!
  • Nuh uh!

This should tell you something about how Israel is not winning.

"What do you expect from war, there's going to be collateral damage"

  1. Collateral damage is a made up concept by people who can inflict unheard amounts of damage on a people.
  2. Wiping out entire families, blowing up hospitals, and torturing and imprisoning civilians is not "collateral damage," or in other words *incedental* to combat. They were intentionally targeted.

I know you dont want to give Palestinians any humanity, but at the very least, don't excuse their martyrdom and displacement as something necessary.
