Peter Parker sighs heavily and rubs his eyes as he sits down at his and MJ’s kitchen table.
They all showed up the night before, because MJ is on an extended movie shoot for the next month, and they know when Peter spends too much time alone, he gets weird.
Not that things don’t get weird when these people show up. Babs is already up, fiddling with a tablet, while Chuck makes breakfast, and Kitty and Felicity fight over what cartoon they should watch this morning. Alec is singing Anaconda at the top of his lungs from the shower.
“You know…you guys don’t have to stay,” Peter says. “I can look after myself.”
“What did you eat for dinner two nights ago?” Barbara asks without looking up.
“What was it?” Chuck asks from the stove.
“…a head of a lettuce,” Peter grumbles. “But I put dressing on it!”
“You put barbecue sauce on it,” Felicity snickers.
“We’re not leaving,” Kitty tells him, glancing back at him.
“Not until we’re sure you’re not going to try and light your hair on fire for funsies,” Alec says as he steps out in a towel. “Breakfast ready?”
“Not until you put some pants on,” Chuck replies. “No soggy towels at the table.”
Alec glowers and reaches out for a piece of bacon in retaliation, but drops it. “Hot!”
“You reached into a frying pan, of course it’s hot!” Chuck cries. “Jeez. Worse than Morgan.”
