i think now is the time to talk about how only the brave is about realizing that you’re gay, (which is why you thought you “never cared for love”).... but somehow you’ve always known (“come on, when you know you know”).... and accepting that there’s nothing you could do to change that and saying fuck you to heteronormative expectations and homophobia (“set fire to history, i’m breaking my own rules, i’m crying like a fool”) (“it’s a church of burnt romances, and i’m too far gone to pray”).... and all of this is such a personal experience (“the lonely shaw dances from the cradle to the grave, it’s a solo song...”) that takes strength and courage (“and it’s only for the brave”)
