Her hands clasp together briefly, yet Haru drops the gesture right away, mostly because there is nothing innocent about what has been bothering her.

“I know it’s not morally acceptable to do so, but…say you are in a situation where…you have the opportunity to ‘cheat’ on someone…with someone else. That someone else is better than the original person, the original person is terrible…and…they don’t treat you well, but you can’t leave either.”

Brown eyes look away, as though ashamed even if she has mostly convinced herself otherwise.

The taller man holds his arms together, crossed in front of his broad chest. His eyes are left closed, jaw set, considering the question as seriously as he can including with the given consideration.

“Personally. If the definition for ‘bad’ you have is in reference to physical, emotional, or any other kind of abuse, then you have no obligation to them in the first place and I’d recommend leaving them. Not even just ‘for’ this ‘better’ person, you should feel free to leave without question.”

A roll of the neck, as Shinjiro leaned against the wall. Hopefully, this would be the support she needed.
