"Xinú Bouquet" (2023)
Etching piece that I made in collaboration with Alex Bordes at the Bordes Bordes workshop for the brand Xinú. The bouquet unites some of the species of aromatic plants that they use in their perfumes: Papantla vanilla, Reina de noche, Geum rivale, Tuberose and lemon leaves.
The print was part of a special commemorative edition for Mother's Day last year. I enjoyed the entire process even though the time realice was very short. In those days of intense work I learned more details about the process in company of Alex. Now I understand more the engraving technique and feel confident in the workshop.
Im excited about this new year that begins.
"Las hormigas se llevarán la casa". (Monotipias, 2023)
Las hormigas se llevarán la casa. Entrarán por las puertas y ventanas. Están sobre la mesa, sobre la cama, sobre nuestro cuerpo. Juegan en nuestras manos, cantan en nuestros oídos, dormirán en muestro estómago.
Comission — "Hold"
Blue ballpoint.
Comfortable cats.
Happy cat and dog adoption day.
A few days ago I gave a drawing workshop on botany inspired by the shapes of dried plants and flowers.
I enjoy giving this workshop to bring people closer to free drawing without thinking about technique, style, or any specific objective, just drawing.
I hope you can repeat it soon.
“Justine Hair”.
Draw I did for a dear friend who returned to her country last year. Her messy hair always looked beautiful.

“ANOTHER STATION”
To say goodbye to the season, I made a set of transparent flower and leaf stickers that say "Goodbye" to summer.
I keep trying to come up with something new with the warm tones of sunset.

“Soul of home”.
Four illustrations for four poems written by Fátima Ortiz for the Japanese magazine Appetite.
The poems talk about the four natural elements: air, earth, water, and fire, their relationship with Mexican cuisine, and how it is the essence of home.
I decided to work with different materials and textures to join them digitally to take advantage of transparency and saturation effects.
Doña Lidia portrait, comission for a new tequila label.
I think we can recognize our people in the faces of strangers. In this case, it was easy to connect with the nostalgia of an old portrait and invent a beautiful story by drawing.
Sure the design result will be beautiful.
“Impossible man”
(Yesterday I dreamed that I started smoking tobacco again and I was sad.)

I keep slowly advancing the pages of my warm diary, trying to be aware of what each drawing says about me.
"Disadvantage" - Woodcut
I keep thinking that it is my body that needs to change.
