Say the quiet part out loud: they believe that black people could never earn their way into college legitimately, therefore all black students are affirmative action. That’s the foundation of their actual argument, not demographics. They don’t care about statistics and ratios, they care that schools aren’t segregated.

^ This part.

Not saying that having the information doesn't help, sure it won't change shitheels' minds, but it's good to have for the people they haven't pulled over, and to help the people being harmed to know that YES the numbers DO say what you see, it's NOT subjective.

I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF

This potato works. Every. Fucking. Time.

Then bring me luck

the day after I posted this last time I was notified that I was selected for a really cool mentorship gig and got an unrelated glowing review at work

C'mon Potato of Luck. You know what I'm hoping for.

I don't normally say this but the house in the cerulean sea deserves a movie adaptation. Specifically animation. I can picture it so clearly

like EXCUSE ME

Wow this really got shared around & i’m telling any of y’all who haven’t seen a league of their own yet: these aren’t just background characters. They aren’t butches you see hanging around as queer rep set dressing. These women, especially Lupe (left) and Jo (center) are MAJOR characters on the show with major arcs and the three of them (including Jess on the right) are shown adored for their butchness, admired, lusted after. And they are proud, they are confident, they are portrayed with a whole palette of emotions. They can get fired up on the field but are so gentle and loving too.

It’s so beautiful to see. They’re so beautiful to witness. It’s not primarily a show about baseball. It’s primarily a show about us.

EVERY YEAR Casey McQuiston will write a silly little book and for the first 50 pages I’ll be like “oh I am going to be normal about this” and then I’ll stay up til 4 am on a school night reading the rest of it in on sitting. I even have the audacity to be surprised each time

there is no “trans debate.” you either believe in the rights of all people to personal freedom, bodily autonomy, privacy, and self-identification, or you’re just a bad person.

not to be an old cranky leftist but going forward i think those of us who live in the us need to remember a protest is not a group powerwalk to register polite disapproval with those in power

a protest is an implied threat. a protest says there are a lot of us, and we do not like what you’re doing. we are giving you a chance to course correct before we take things to the next level.

if there’s no shared commitment to the potential of moving to that next level: a protest is useless and essentially just public performance art.

Idk why people keep saying Villanelle died! What are you talking about? Were we watching the same show?? because I did not see a death scene

For people who don’t get it euphoria is and will never try to be realistic. It’s about the feelings and experience you share with the characters that the show wants you to focus on not realism.
