[NO LONGER ACTIVE - NOV. 2019] [Now making work under the name 'Neurofilter'] This is where I post my Illustrations, animations, music, whatever...

Over The Garden Wall

Wirt recites poetry to a little black turtle, as Beatrice rolls her eyes. Greg sits by the lake not paying attention. Jason Funderburker leaps into the water.

Finished this recently. Made it for a great friends birthday. She hasn’t received it yet so I’m only posting it here for now. Haven’t done a proper piece like this in a long time now so I am pretty happy with the results!

That’s a Rock Fact!

'Endless Void' - Concept Video

A piece that I created in 2018 which was adapted from a larger animated short film still in development. It was used for a 7.1 surround sound exercise for my audio engineering course, and then remixed in stereo for online upload. There is no official script as of yet, so many thanks to Michael Grisso for providing his voice for the rough dialogue!

This scene is a recurring scenario within the short film. The protagonist, seen here walking around the empty city, keeps awakening to this same environment - unsure of how he arrived. As he explores, a figure pursues him in the darkness, ultimately leading him towards his fate.

Quick edited version of existing illustration. Enjoy!

Junkie XL - ‘Beauty Never Fades’ (feat. Mac Shaye)

This is the second and final cover I did for an assignment last trimester.

Huge thanks to Mac Shaye for lending her beautiful voice to this track ❤, and to Max DC for laying down his incomparable rhythms.

Turned out really well. I made everything from the ground up so I spent a lot of time on certain elements, trying to make them right. I’m probably most proud of this out of all the music related work I’ve done so far - give the whole thing a listen and if you can, do it with headphones to get the full experience!

Enjoy & share!

Nine Inch Nails - March of The Pigs (Cover)

Song one of two from my RST5 efforts this trimester.

A tribute to one of my favourite bands/artists. This version is a mix of the original album version + the live version of this song that they perform.

Spent nearly 4 months working on this (on and off) as an assignment for a subject at uni. Turned out really well I think! I implemented a lot of different recording and mixing techniques and I'm proud of how this turned out. Made everything on this track via different methods so it was a really fun creative exercise.

Thanks to my band-mate/drummer man/soul bro Max DC for doing the drums on this, as well as numerous other contributions. Couldn't have done it without him.

The second song (Beauty Never Fades by Junkie XL) will be coming later this week. Very excited to show you all that!

Enjoy!

Here's a new piece.

Turned out really well for something that started out as a complete joke. Nice!

It's a design for a t-shirt which is a gift for my main lecturer at Uni. Features me on the right & my friend/bandmate Max on the left.

Lecturer said if I made him a shirt with our two faces on it he'd wear it for a week.

If you feel like it (for whatever reason), buy the design here from my Redbubble store. I would really appreciate it!

UPDATE: I have been absent from visual work for a while now. This is because I’ve been working hard for my audio engineering degree. I will finish by December this year.

Trying to decide on things for the album my good friend and I are making for our final project. It should be released at the end of this year! Marketing will start around September. Im writing all the songs with him, and I’ll probably be doing all the corresponding artwork.

It will most likely be some kind of concept album, because thats kind of the music equivalent of a film. It all ties together in my mind. The music we create already has visuals. It is already a short film inside my head.

I’ll update hopefully as more progress is made and it gets closer to the time.

SLOWDIVE - 'MACHINE GUN' (cover) This is dedicated to my friend Bec, who is a fellow Slowdive fan and an all round really great person who I am glad is in my life :) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It's finally done! Here is my cover of Slowdive's 'Machine Gun' from their 1993 album Souvlaki. They are one of my fav bands now and forever. I started recording this back in 2016, and that was just the vocals. I recorded about six different vocal tracks and later mixed them all together (I think it ended up sounding really awesome). I then put it on hold and got around to recording the rest of the instrumentation roughly a year later in 2017. Then I got snowed under by uni work and general life stuff again and so I've finally just had time to myself to finish this one off. So hopefully you enjoy it. I'd like to record When The Sun Hits at some point in my life... not sure when that will be.

Ready to churn out some great stuff this year, so here’s a new 2018 reel to get the ball rolling. Enjoy!

‘GHOST INSIDE A CITY’ by SonicJaguar

“Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?” - M

————————————

This is a track that started around two years ago as a simple idea. I let it sit for quite a while in my archives before reviewing it earlier this year.

Over the course of many months in my spare time, I added to it, re-recorded many things, re-mixed many things, and have finally come up with this.

I had to put a self imposed deadline on myself otherwise I would have never finished this one.

"It's too bad she won't live! But then again who does?" - Gaff. 3D Printed polished nickel steel. Also my little Spinner from my 30th Anniversary boxset from 2012! Anyone who knows my love of film will surely know my love for this movie, as well as the man who wrote the story it was based on among multiple other sci-fi classics, despite his and the movie's flaws in this modern age. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83tboDnpE7Y

Apologies for the large influx of photos for the ItMatters collection. Slow at updating here on Tumblr...
