The sky was turning into a mixture of pale colours and distant sunlight, clouds slowly drifting over the faint blue and it was one of those nights where everything was alright – perfect, even. Calm and silent. Dead, almost, if they hadn’t been there, but it was still quiet and maybe it was better that way.
Dan’s car isn’t as fancy as he wished it was, but at that very moment he didn’t really care. All he could focus on was the figure sat next to him; the warmth from his hand where it rested on top of his own and the steady sound of his breathing, heavy and even inhales and exhales and Dan wasn’t sure if he’d be able to keep himself from pulling over the car and jump right on top of him, right there and then.
