The following foods can help you to reduce high blood pressure:

 – Barley:

Barley contains beta-glucan that lowers blood pressure.

You can make barley mush with prunes and coconut.

– Banana:

Banana has potassium in it that is good for people with high blood pressure.

You can make banana bread with pecan nut and banana cream made with mascarpone.

– Potato:

Potato, especially purple potato, has high level of potassium in it

You can cook potato soup with leeks.

You will need the following ingredients:

– 1 bigger leek

– 1 head of garlic

– 1,5 kg/ 3,3 pounds of potatoes

– salt, pepper to taste

– one tablespoon of olive oil

– 3 dkg/ 1,1 oz butter

– 1 bunch of parsley

Chop the leek and the parsley. Peel the potatoes and the garlic and chop them. Fry the garlic and the leek with the olive oil. Put the potatoes in the bowl and pour 2 liter/ 8,4 cups of water on it. Boil it until the potato is cooked. Take the soup off the gas. Put the butter in it and stir the soup. You can blend it lightly with a hand blender too.

– Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) bulb:

Fennel bulb has potassium, calcium and magnesium in it that are all essential for maintaining normal blood pressure.

You can fry fish breaded with corn-flour with fennel bulb.

– Cinnamon:

Cinnamon helps to lower blood pressure.

I would recommend to use grape seed oil spiced with cinnamon to make salads and meals.

Use grape seed oil (you can mix it with a little walnut oil), put four sticks of cinnamon, a chopped chili pepper, a tablespoon of whole green pepper, four cloves of garlic and four bay leaves. Let it stand for two weeks. Strain the oil. Keep it in a dark and cool place.

– Pomegranate:

Pomegranate juice contains polyphenols that helps to prevent high blood pressure and normalize high tension.

You can make tiramisu with pineapple and pomegranate.

– Dandelion leaves:

Dandelion leaves also contains potassium.

You can cook a soup from ramsons, comfrey, ground elder leaves (Aegopodium podagraria), nettle and dandelion leaves.
